As Whispered death falls from the tongue
Shielding ones eyes from the sun

The time wasted reflecting seems so.. a parent
To youth born from ground supreme inherent

As you feel that warmth turn to friction glow
From the gaze of those whom well you know

Remember that tis a guide from which to grow
And follow the lights from which they show

In the passing age of gleeful day
The wise of night do often pray

So that our future feet form a way
brighten tomorrow with the light of yesterday

So when looking for yourself alone
And you’re not feeling quite so grown

If you forgot the melody
Like a broken bitter symphony

Please look up and remember me
Despite this blissful tragedy

The sun only sits down to let you see
All the other stars watching over thee
With Age...

the world is a dangerous place for
daughters,
for sisters,
aunts,
nieces,
girlfriends.
she asks herself if she deserved to be
taken advantage of,
chased,
belittled,
grabbed,
hurt.
fear is instilled in each girl,
their rights withheld,
respect weaned,
voiced silenced
because of their anatomy.
filled with guilt at their mere existence
while rapists sleep soundly.
people say it wouldn't have happened
if you dressed more conservatively,
if you didn't lead him on,
he couldn't help himself,
it's natural,
you should be flattered you stuck up ***** I'm talking to you.
a man that goes too far is excused for being a boy,
while a girl walks to her car in the middle of the night, fearful for her own life.
a naked woman lying in the street is not asking for anything
that she doesn't speak.
why does the first "yes" mean "yes"
and the first "no" mean "persist" ?
why do you get an excuse to act how you want
but I'm not granted the same privledge every 28 days?
at what age do you tell her that she will be
violently pursued,
cursed,
assaulted,
undermined,
paid less
because the structure of her body.
Why does every girl have a heartbreaking story
that she was made to feel guilty for?
like she could have done something to change it,
when the thing that needs changing is the one that thinks "well you see the way she dressed, she brought it on herself."
I hope I don't have a daughter,
but a son instead
so I won't have to be the one to put fear in her head.

Dekho Manhooos Paida Hui Hai
Sabke Chehere Pe Maatam Chaa Gaya
Aur Betii Bojh Ban Gayi

Bojh Shayad Kuch Kam Hua Tha
Jab Iskaa Ek Chotaa Bhaii Hua Tha

Par Shayad Kabse Sach Hua Tha
Simaat Gayi Akelepan Mein

Baith Baith Ke Sapne Bunti
Raat Ko Voh Taare Gintii

Gintii?
Gintii Toh Mujko Aati Nahi

Baabujii Ne School Nahi Bheja Mujko
Betii Hoon Naah? !!

Aaj Veera Aayega Toh Ussey Kahungi
Gintii Sikhaa De. :')
Taaare Ginne Hai Mujko

Betii Honaaa Paap Hai
Betii Toh Bojh Hotii Hai Naah
Papa Bhi Yahii Kehete Hai

Solaah (16) Saal Kii Umaar Me
Voh Laal Jodaa Mujhpe Bojh Ban Gaya
Aur Baabuji Kaa Bojh Shayad Kuch Halkaa ** Gaya
Ispe Kayi Sitaare Lage The
Aur Muje Abbhi Gintii Nai Aatii Thi

Dekho Manhoos Paida Hui Hai
Mai Manhoos Banke Reh Gayi
Sabke Chehere Pe Muskaan Thi Aaj
Aur Beti Bojh Banke Reh Gaayi.
This is a poem about all those daughters who are still considered as a burden a bane.
ACCEPT THEM WITH SMILES
THEY AREN'T BURDENS
A MOTHERS SMILE HELP YOU GROW
A SISTERS SMILE NEVER LETS YOUR SMILE FADE AWAY
A DAUGHTERS SMILE KEEPS YOU YOUNG

sad* because no one deserves to live such a lonely life that no one notices they've been dead in an apartment for five days

sad because you knew all along that no one would notice if you've been dead in an apartment for five days

angry because you had two beautiful daughters who lost their dad to drugs

angry because their mom was too weak to handle this and she told your daughters the whole truth, things a seven and a fourteen year old should never hear about their father

You have a wife and four daughters
and a colleague amongst your supporters
mindset engineered: you answer a question
with a question and indulge in light sensationalism

My wife befriends many people - a natural star
suddenly they're saying the same things that you are
ideas are pinched, put to use, there's no excuse
for queering my pitch - you stupid *****

No offence meant: I hold myself to account
who am I to hold court, judgemental nonsense
don't say anything, go sit yourself on the fence
come back to me when you have pounds, shillings and pence

Some commontators seem less than cool
it's doubtful if they could explain the offside rule

I loved you until you abused your own heart.
I tried lifting you up, but you kept pushing yourself down and away from me.
How can someone love a person with a broken heart?
You can’t love them fully because they have missing pieces.
It’s not fair.
I loved you and believed in you for the longest time, but you never got better.
You put on a fake smile, and acted happy. Do you know how ****** that makes me feel?
That I’m not enough to make you show a real smile.
To be truthfully happy.
It’s ******* that I have a crack in my heart for you that will never be filled.
Will someone ever fill it?
I hope...

Lo, poor man's tea in dawn's first light, whose pale
Eye shifts vague shadows 'cross dead houses thence,
Ere twinkling with an orange splash' warming sense
Upon that silence, and no coffee's bail
In morning's fog as rosy lee's detail.
Snow's bitter whiteness waits sans aught suspense
While sparrows gaily answer for two pence,
And I wash up the dishes on that scale.
We fix a mean cup of ole joe as twere,
Yet where the Brits swear by tea's mincing cue
I oddly know what tis to waken, poor
As such assertions oer the second brew.
Discuss caffeine, and I sleep well nor stir
'Til ah, forget it.  What I need is you.

And we held each other as we weeped for our earth.
Our mother.
Mother nature, she gave birth to us and watches us as society hurts us, neglects us, and abuses us.
Feeling her tears in the rain, and her pain in the cold wind, her worry within the brewing storms, and discomfort in the scorching sunshine.
We take comfort in one another knowing someday things will get better my beautiful sister
And no longer will we cry tears for our mother's creations.
For our mother's home.
For our bodies that the world is destroying.

The imperfect sunrise of mourning
Tears glittered by sugar and spice
like regretful words of self tormenting
My tounge of coals is removed twice,
Silenced from former end fights,
Forgiveness is found in remembering
She'll  never know how my heart pings
FM static wet windows and cold
lost in moments of sun shards shimmering
All the way down the road.
Ever been thinking while taking the kids to school? I have.
