Troublesome author,
we are suffering subjects;
we didn't pray for this.

Why create the day
when the sun is so gloomy?
Our own light is ******.

You demand our love.
Such a horrid creator;
love isn't ours to give.
the black rose May 2018
i know you see the light, though its dim.
product of lies, coated in sin.
afraid to reveal what's within.
the truth is near,
the truth is here.

don't alter my reality,
or fill me with your insanity.
you hide things from me,
but i am here to say.
i am the truth, i know the way.
20 years later, trying to understand.
what am i? what is hu-man?
is there more to me?
is there more to see?

oh, earth. what have they done to you?
creatures of the earth, what did they do?
out of touch with nature,
too in touch with mankind.
too programmed to re-focus,
too ignorant, too blind.
why do i feel like im living a lie?

i seek truth, & the more i seek the less i discern.

greater a creation than what you see.
great is the creator, in you & me.
find your way, find your truth.
find your light, find your youth.

The woodcarver
Chips away at his creation
The old, steady hands
Crafting something of perfection
Each wood shaving falling away,
piece by piece,
gives way to a more and more beautiful masterpiece.
But halfway through,
he sits, and he rests.
The creation still stands on the workbench, incomplete.
Time goes on,
and on, and on…. yet the unhatched egg of a figurine still remains.
And one day, the carver again takes it into his hands.
“Finally, your time has come”
He sits back, and he widdles, and widdles….and widdles.
The wooden sculpture at last takes its final form.
And although it was finished last,
and he had made hundreds of items in the past,
the piece that took the longest,
was much more precious than any other piece he had ever made before.

This is not a time for lamentation
it is time to glide to climb boldly
for clean clear air of creation
reach inside like you told me
find what you’re hiding behind
jump up and jump down
is my mind mine
verb or noun
stuck to
you...
This is my attempt to write a poem using a form new to me that I read about on this or another poetry site. Can't remember what it's called, but I remember it begins with a line of ten syllables and each line decreases by a syllable until there is only one. The rhyme scheme is my own. If you know what this poetic form is called, please let me know. It was fun writing it. :-)
Melodic syntricity
Break silenced walls
Ignite the worlds inherited
Smashing, Tumbling, Crashing
Weight beared upon my core
Heads risen high
Om of echoes many
Decimate shade of cloaks
Destin for sepulcher
Fear.
Has met.
No strength like this
Love of one
Love of many
Eyes wide bright
Breathe.
Poise.
Life.
Together.
No journey too malice
Afflicted or brutal
Could slaughter.
My angels
Our spiritual kin
In which
I name
My creator

This is me.
Fully, and only, human -
a human conditional
on compromise,
a very human contradiction
with a human capacity
for good
or ill,
but only as far
as it is humanly
impossible for me.
And then to turn
to my maker
and leave room for Him
to make all things possible
after all.
Proudly human, under God.
Mark 10:27
27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

so you want to be a creator
a somebody
a dream maker
but all i see
within myself, a faker

You came and took my breath away,
Took my soul and now I'm clay,
For you to mould as you see fit,
To reassemble bit by bit.

Give me a brain to think of you,
Give me a heart to bring life new,
Give me veins for my blood to race,
Give me fingers to stroke your face.

Take my brain and make it yours.
Take my heart and smash it on the floor.
Take my veins and tie them in knots.
Take my fingers and let them rot.

You came and took my breath away,
Stole my soul and left me clay,
For you to slice and pound and rip,
To dismantle and to leave in bits.
An unbalanced relationship.
