oh honey, I hear you.
I hear those cruel words
you whisper to yourself.

I can hear them even when
you are silent because
I used to whisper them
to myself too.

I used to think that
no one heard me either.

now, I'm here
to tell you that
you're not ugly.
not even close.

it's just that when you
hear something enough,
you start to believe it.

you cannot erase the
memories of the mean words
that were once said about you.

the sad truth is that they
might always remain
stuck on a repeating loop
in the back of your mind.

you might never be able to
silence them. I haven't yet.

but what you can do
is drown out their noise.
what you can do
is yell louder.

honey,
go look in the mirror
and tell yourself
"I am beautiful."

and then say it again,
and again, and again.

say it louder
and LOUDER
and L O U D E R.

"I am beautiful."
"I am beautiful."
"I AM BEAUTIFUL."

you might never be able
to forget those cruel thoughts,

but what you can do
is remind yourself
that they are only lies.

you are beautiful,
even if you can't see it yet.
especially if you can't see it yet.

...and in the end,
we went our separate ways.

you don't love me
and I don't love you
and that's ok

because you taught me
how I deserve to be treated.

because of you,
I love myself

and that is the greatest
love story of all.

I will never make a difference in the world
And don’t you dare tell me that
I am strong and capable
It’s a lie
I’ll never break out of my shell
I’m not worth it and
It’s not fair to say that
I will do something remarkable with my life
The chains of my insecurities
Are powerful and I will break down
In failure where my hopes
Can be found
All I want to be
Is someone incredible
The reflection I see
When I look in the mirror:
Nothing
I am missing
The confidence to truly live
I’m starting to find
That I will never grow
It’s absurd to think
I am a work in progress

If you want to know the difference a teacher can make
Read this poem from bottom to top
Thank you R.H., you changed my life.

I rather float than swim
The water carries me on ripples
it flows caressing around my belly
and decorates me with breast waves

Don't you imagine anything
my mother shouts
Men look around, she glides majestically
through the city. We are the queens

category, in an exemplary way
we can stand in the middle
spread our wings and
snort fire to enemies

I comfort morning people, give strength
to the brave, colour the balloons
of the happiness gained together
because I am a drake-born swan

Powerless

I finally get up, i leave you behind
Now i'm free

Senseless

I cry of joy as mom holds me in her arms
Now i feel

Empty

I paint 'til i can't feel my hands anymore and my cheeks hurt
a sweet ache caused by my smile
Now i create

Ugly

I look in the mirror
I don't see a stranger
Now i am

But not really
I'm not
Not now
Practice makes progress, i guess

Don’t let me doubt.
If you let your doubt out,
I’ll never see the light of sun.
Not above not below
Not ever, not anymore.
There are sparks in my eyes,
A flame that’s dim
Don’t let it go out
Don’t let it out.
The color of your blue sky interlaced
With the brights of my eyes.
It keeps me alive.
Letting me down,
Letting my doubt run free
Planting seeds to never see them sprout,
It still leaves these weeds inside of me.
See these weeds,
Something you’ve never heard
Words you’ll say again
Green grows out of my mouth
Faster faster
Harboring the in the arbor of my mind
My truth, your lies.
Is it your truth or is it mine?
I’m quiet.
It hurts.
Every breath of life feels worse
The doubt the doubt the doubt
It sprouts and grows
But none of this you’ll ever know.
I’m captured and I can’t be found.
Again I ask,
Don’t let your doubt out.

We seek out a new world
explore what we can
Find to creatures in the land
whether you be a woman or man
You dive headfirst into the challenge
Not prepared for what might happen

To find what was lost
and bring back home
just to study the unknown

Suppiles is limited so use it wisely
Time is percious
but don't rush

Be aware of what lurks in the dark
animals like we've never seen before
hidden deep with the ground

Some may hide out of fear
of what could be there
But in your mind
you say

"You never know until you get there"
living by your words

Even if it means
travelling to the darkess city
or a lost forest
even a cave no one has ever seen.

You do it for the fun
and for the rush
It's like a new adventure every day

"What's next?"
is what you'd say

Confidence is my armour
Optimism is my saviour
I wander in the darkness
And kiss the silence
Don't tear my wings
Don't force me the rings
Even if I get thrashed
I will land into my saviour's arms
My armour would be holding my palms
