Cherry blossoms,
Floating in the breeze,
Only for a short time,
In the spring,

Dreams grow fast like magical cherry blossoms,
Floating in a breeze,

Longing to touch a memory,
Looking beyond time,
To truly see,

You Standing there,
With flowers in your hair,
Dressed for times past,

Our life together meant to be,
Only in a dream.

Have you ever
Mixed memories
With what you wished
They could be,
Creating a fictional
Reality
Blended together
Like bitters and whiskey
Vermouth and a cherry,
The Manhattan of your dreams.

Cherry blossoms fall
Scattering petals across the pond
They drift a little,
Spin a little,
Land and correct course
Setting sail with the wind.

A girl and a boy meet
At a club
Dancing all night
Whilst the cherry blossoms fall
And sail under the moon

They cross the bridge near the pond
Watch as the petals fall
A foreshadowing from nature
So obvious, if you know where to look

But they were blind.

They grew up together,
Married at the age of 27
As the petals scattered.

Years down the track...

A drunken man, a ******* girl
A divorce so imminent
The tears fall as the anger rages
The petals the only evidence.

That something, some force knew,
They were never meant to be

And they turn their backs and set sail
As the wind continues to blow
On opposite paths they will walk
And the petals fall under the moonlit glow

The sun falls swift as an overripe cherry,
Lighter than air, it still laughs like a fairy
Warm and wet and juicy and red
Along the horizon it slowly spreads.
Tossing up splatter to stick to the clouds
Filling the sky, its sweetness astounds

Then washed away by crisp starry rain
Silvery ice that soaks through your veins.
And each sweet day, and every night
The lights fly away, and out of sight,
But surely my dear, to beautiful eyes
Sunset sweet always brings sunrise

Your beauty match a cherry blossom tree
No a garden!
The love that grow inside of me.
The start of spring!
Getting warmer, getting brighter.
Makes my head feel lighter.
It must be love.
Cherry blossoms,
Against skin so fair,
Pink like blushing lovers cheeks,
But only half as rare.

A cherry tree, heavy with fruit,

Once stood at the bottom of my garden

By the small pond filled with septic water

Disagreeably still. Ignoring it, over time, its

Fruit fell and decayed.

Over time its trunk became overwhelmed

With boles, its branches snapped.

Close by the rich soil

Was suffocated with weeds.

Spring

I feel so warm and cozy sometimes,
When I think of you each night and day,
And when I see you, I see Sakura trees,
I LOVE you more than our unforgettable first kiss.

You're so high, as high as an autumn sky; I hope this love that's flying
Through space and time.  Will hold on tight.
I can't resist your kissable warm cherry lips; it's true!
Cherry ice cream and newborn babies fade into shadows...

I am absolutely crazy for you!

Your Soul is exciting; your Heart is Kindness never ending,
And my Heart is TRULY in your hands.
I could touch and hug you 'til my life here ends,
But YOU are the focus of my heart as you hold me in your arms,

This Sunshine happiness of your smile,
Raised my spirits so high my love,
And for you, Spring,
I thank God's Singing Angels from above.

Underneath the tree
Down by the riverside
Sheltered from the sun

Why oh why are you sad?
Can't you see the sun
How it shines bright

Her sunglasses dark
As dark as her nails
Lips as red as cherry

Sherry, baby
Please don't cry
Stop daydreaming

He's not coming back
Even if he tries
He won't be there for you

Dry your eyes
Cause momma said tears are weakness
And you don't want to disappoint
I pull my damp,
faded jean's jacket
out of the machine.
Something clatters.
Oh good, a dime.
No. A cherry seed.

Now you're going to tell me
that cherry have pits, right?
But "pit" is such a dismal little word.
And this shiny clean trophy sports
a history of petty thievery,
committed in the local grocery store.

A big yellow cherry with a pink blush.
Just one, chewed boldly. Its hard center
hidden in my pocket.
