Don't look into my eyes
as I open my jar full of glow worms
& let out one by one
the light kept caged in my heart-
it helped me fight many violent storms.

Why was it caged, you wish to ask?
I will tell you as
one wise man once told me,
"accepting your mistake,
is step one of putting remorse to its task."

Fear drove me in different directions for years.
On one such maneuver when I was tired
and my eyes were full of tears
I found this really nice man
who shared with me his light
gave me a reason to carry on my fight.

But as he shared with me his light
I extinguished his own.

(He thought the world was nice
and sharing was caring,
not realizing I was wary and soulless
after all my experiences scary.)

Seeing the world dipped in the color of my soul
I protected this light
buried it deep inside,
to not let the ones who were like me
steal it from me
how I stole it from him-
by looking into his eyes.

Now, looking back in time,
as my soul gets cleansed
by regret and remorse
while
the nice man shines brightly in the sky,
even as
I wish to get rid of this stolen light of mine,
to die,
to be blessed with a less insecure afterlife.

Hence,
I release my glow worms one by one,
but
don't look into my eyes,
and try to steal this light-
escape my fate,
don't make the same mistake as mine.
If I die tonight,
One scary theory
Is true

If one memory repeats,
For all eternity
I hope it is about you
A scary but beautiful theory after death: your most cherished memories will repeat over and over and over again.

Destiny will not be found
in the realm of time
Limited to our own imaginations

We are all but strangers in this land
It is those who find a belonging to this world
 who are truly lost

Echoes we chase of discontentment
Searching for pieces we think we lost
or never had

Hearing the voices inside and out
Declaring "You Don't Belong"

Wanderers, explorers, seekers at best
Life is a Sojourn
    not a place to nest

I plead to you
Let me rest in peace
For my lifeless husk
Is now deceased
The weight of pain
Was killing me
It won the war
It waged on me
So let me down
into the ground
And I promise not
To make a sound
For my withered heart
Beats no more
And my soul has left
The rivers shore
I'll float off now
Into the great beyond
Moving forward and
Moving on

Protect the spirit of the defenceless
Those who wade upon shallow shores

Their light is dimming because the
gradual punishment of the grave.

It keeps them a prisoner that makes
the glow from their soul diminish.

Take them from the waters, dry off their
Tattered memories of what was before.

Because a soul like a wondering man can
Easily become lost in a featureless place.

Wonder not in a diluted haze of thoughts and
life, released from bonds of mortal existence.

Protect the spirit of the defenceless those who
Wade upon shallow shores, so never to get lost

Awaiting that moment, was it
Meant to be, as two feathers
Floated upon a last breath.

White as if from heaven, landed
Settled upon the left eye.
Seeing, searching the mind of
All the good that was done.

Dark as night a feather as ominous
As night itself fell upon the right.
Seeing, searching the soul for
All that tainted through life.

Barbs did seed upon the flesh,
and all that was known was now
Learnt, nothing hidden all was
seen from within.

Each rachis did fill, leached from
The body of what was drawn in,
Soul, heart, mind now emptied
in to each feather filled.

The quill did drip, with all that
Was taken, the feathers had fallen
Earthbound each partaken upon the
Gateways of the soul.

What did it find within, as a drop
Fell from each upon the lips, and
A last word spoken from each.

But only you will speak these words
Once the feathers fall and see all
Within. One white, one black which
One will carry you, where will your
Afterlife now begin.
Why is it that the rising sun reminds me of you?
The drifting clouds, the ebb and flow of the city sounds,
My heart that trips and skips when I am reminded –
This heart that misses you with each moment.

It wasn’t meant to be this way,
My mind missing you everyday
My heart reaching, having things to say
And I promise you; I promise you’ll hear it one day.

The fresh air caresses my skin and I am reminded
This warm-bloodedness I long to share with you
In this life I want to hold you, and never let go
So you know how much I love you…

But I know you’re in a better place,
When I close my eyes I see your smiling face
Watching down at my old and new mistakes
In this life I call my own.

So when I come and join you
When I’ve had my laughs and loves,
We can laugh and smile together
And gaze down on everyone.

I have watched you suffer
While the battle raged on
Though i nearly died
For once i was never alone
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms

There are so many different worlds
And in all may we triumph
As we did once before
Let our blood
Water the trees of liberty
May the moon howl our names
Across mountains and seas
Let our tales be told
By the children unborn

It's a life we have to live
Until we no more do
It hurts us badly though
Everyone has to die
Now i bid you farewell
My brothers in arms

As we journey into the life
Beyond and after
May we stand together
Forever as brothers in arms

There's a click, no noise, followed by
A relief, an awareness.
I sense all, I smell the humidity rise as if it will soon rain.
There is a grace only felt in redemption -
                    Rebirth.

New life breeds an exciting adventure.

But the next click reveals a deafening noise

The camera's aperture opens fully and the capture light file the opening.

White, life filling, fully encompassing.

True life, new life, everlasting life begins  -
                     Rebirth.
