Have you
ever noticed
how beautiful
the clouds are?
they are the
ethereal
breathe of
dreams,
I wish, I was
not the only
one who saw
their once
hidden strokes
revealed only
to the eyes
opening for
the white
ocean,
holding
one sliver
from their
day to see
the beauty
of what they
are a part
of and
becoming
the idyll,
what they
had been
seeking
was found
in one
moment
in time,
reader,
I will tell
you now
how the
clouds
are as
the simplest
touch you
treasure,
the holding
of hands
you wish
to keep
forever,
the first
kiss you
share as
the petals
of roses
caress the
wind of the
moon, and
you will say
to your loved
one, as you
would whisper
to the clouds,
“the existence
of you is my gift”
I had seen a painting, entitled,
“The Portrait Of A Poet”, it was
perfect in its beauty, and yet
still, the viewer had not known
the secrets it held, the thorns
encasing the roses in the
garden surrounding her,
the book she held with
her heart’s song, the
symphony she veiled
In the sea of eyes
flowing from her
feet with faces
of a blank canvas,
seeking the color
of love, when they
gazed upon the
painting, they
did not see in
her eyes, the
one who saw
the beauty and
light in everything
within the greatest
suffering, they
looked past the
bird with the
shining wings
who lived in the
cage, she was
unaware of
her luminous
features as
her colors
were painted,
for the truth
of her lies
within the
flower of
purity,
touched
by the
moonlight,
she sits with her
demure hands
rested, gentle
and soft with
the gaze of
reverie, the
dreamer with
the heart
of the ocean,
opening her
embrace,
she seeks
nothing and
receives all,
the woman
with a soft
fringe
touching
her temple
once stroked
with her slender
fingers the
pages unseen
within the
books of
her enamor,
she was
enchanted
by fairytales,
and captivated
by the magic
unnoticed by
the ones who
possess them,
as they spoke
in cafes and
kissed within
the homes of
wondrous,
hidden places,
she saw the
rising stars
as he whispered,
“I love you”,
the man who
loved her
and longed
for her roses,
as he gazed
upon her
portrait,
as he
opened
as the
doors,
and they
sighed
in the union
of the swan
and the lover.
Amongst
the roses,
I hear the
whisper
of unspoken
beauty, asking,
“can this be,
the one who
has lost,
found the
wonder of
everything?
how is it,
that when
it was filled
to the brim
with the tides
of love, it found
beauty in the
broken?”
I say to her,
“I have now
known how
the eyes filled
with tears
had seen
the heaviness
beheld in the
fragility of
their petals,
and yet still,
they float,
resting upon
the lips before
returning to
their dreams
In the clouds”
I watch as the
lantern returns
to the night skies,
there will come
a time, when
a rose will
fade as the
one you
hold dear,
and you will
remember,
when you
have truly
loved
someone,
their flowers
will never
fade from
the garden
of your
heart.
By the sea,
I watched as
the thoughts
within my mind
faded with the white
effervescence, I am
wrapped in a cashmere
blanket as I drink my
cafe au lait, the wind
tousled my hair as I
contemplated the
silence of the hour,
within its watercolor
becoming the gentle,
soft soul of mine
seeking to understand
the meaning of love,
even though,
I am misunderstood,
and so, I sit here,
content as a dandelion,
fragile, yet still yearning
to dream.
The nightingale’s
voice was the
song of the
moment of
when I opened
my eyes to the
light of what
I was once
unconscious
to, when
sunset
met with
moonrise,
In this
hour of
gentle
Idyll,
from the
voyage
& parting
of what
I have
known
before,
I now
become an
unconditional
part of your
heart, as
we held
stars in
our hands
closely
held,
our eyes
wandering
to their
shining
lives
as we
were
destined
to be, the
magic in
your soft
beauty,
what I
had been
seeking
all along,
past all
of these
waves
passing
on the
shore,
we hold
each
other
warm
with our
cups of
tea, as
I whisper
to you,
“hold me
closer,
dancer
of the
night,
for the
symphony
of our
union
Is the
answer
to the
question
of the
universe,
“what is
this truth
they have
told, that
I have failed
to see?”
as the bird
with the
velvet
song
flies
forever.
If only,
by destiny,
I would
someday
find the
one,
who is
special
and sweet,
he will
give me
cuddles
and bring
me warm
soup when
I am feeling
tired, to place
his cheek
gently
next to
my tear
when I
am sad,
our hands
touching
as I feel
his warm
breathe as
a comfort
of home,
he will hold
my hands
as we walk
under the
moonlight,
the waves
touching our
bare feet as
we have the
deeper
conversations
about the
simpler
things,
as we
hold our
coffee by
the sea,
as the
seagulls
float
across
the sea,
under
the lullaby
of the night,
we walk to
our home,
and rest
peacefully
among the
lights
entering
their shining
lives above,
we would
close our
eyes and
become
angels
as we
stroke
each
other’s
hair,
our cats
warming
themselves
at our feet,
the soft
tumbling
of thick
wool
socks
on the
floor, the
opening
of books
and the
rising
of tea,
days and
seasons
spent in
the company
of flowers
until they
grow old,
and we
become
together
In spirit,
and then,
they will
be reborn
again, for
love lives on,
evermore.
Are you
the one
who has
come to
save me?
I must have
came upon
your kind
In a distant
past, I had
felt it as
a whisper
in the crowds,
has my heart
seen you
before my
eyes called
to my mind?
the simple
interface
of reason
is undermined
by wonder,
when I stood
in awe of
something
I could not
define,
when I
saw a
painting
mirroring
my soul
In the
depth
of your
clear eyes,
I saw the
beating
of my heart,
exploding
as a star
within your
arms,
I have
become the
carnations
blooming
within your
chest,
your
leaves,
are too
one with
mine,
the eternity
within our
chests is
the reason
for my
existence,
we are
chaotic,
imperfect,
shapeless
beings
coming
together
to form
something
perfect,
I remember
the day I
entered
the cafe,
and saw
you sitting
there,
perhaps,
as if we
were fated
by the lights
above for
our paths
to meet,
our gaze
was a soft
light of the
flower
meeting
the sun,
not knowing
they were
once in
love
before.
