Never gave him a chance
And look at them now
All queuing up like thirsty crows
Just to be a part of his success dance

Funny how some people's perception of you changes once you succeed
They start treating you differently
Up until the point you are succeeding ... i.e. your struggle period
They don't even give a **** about you
And then post your success they start acting like they're your best friends!

2 points i want to highlight i here:-
1)Never let anyone's negativity stop you from you achieving your goals..those haters can say all they want...just shut them out and focus on your goals.
2)Those who are with you during your bad times are your real friends and not those chameleons who start gathering around you when you succeed.

Darkness is what you will see
When you follow the wrong crowd
Life will sadly pass you by
No one will want to come around
Your issues with substance abuse
Will put you on a path of nowhere
Reach out and ask for help
And remove yourself from the bad air

The tick tock clock of time begins to turn;
as you roll over the sun sends wisps of light over the horizon.
Your mind softens and stretches out,
reaching through your nerves, filling your body.

The sun now peaking over the horizon,
the light growing stronger begins to stir the world awake.
The early morning glow flows in, filling you with warmth
A radiance of mind
and body.

with the ink from your skin

She walks down this path so many Mothers have walked before her,
Crisp uniforms line the path..a heavy heart..Tears in her lap.
An American Flag snaps to attention as if to say we know your pain Mother, but we don’t.
Through this all, she carries on the pride and resolve despite an unthinkable loss.

The twenty-one gun salute resonates through every city in America
Reminding everyone to take a moment to honor this fallen son.
On the 6 O’clock news Taps plays on every television.
And we shake our head in disbelief.

An unbroken line of Patriots that passed before him,
Line the stairway to heaven to welcome their brother home.
And a banner hangs in Moms living room window..Displaying  one Gold, two blue stars
“Lord please bring my boys home safely”, she prays

I hope you’ll think of some of the reasons why our brave sons & daughters make the ultimate sacrifice…..Here are just a few……..
