Holding on to life with clenched fist
Worrying unnecessarily over this
Having sleepless nights over that

Why get thrown here and there like a dart
Mind wavering like a piece of feather
Blown haphazardly by the wind

Clinging to the past
Bothered about that which is to come
Missing out on the beauty of the now

Trading a firm ground for sinking sand
Wishing to turn back the hands of time
If only he would live in the moment

And let tomorrow take care of itself
It's not a sin to plan for the days ahead
But now is the only time we have
Who says tomorrow is guaranteed

Those that sow the seeds of love
Enjoy its fruits
More abundantly

Some just want to pluck the fruits
Without sowing
Forgetting that to love is actually work
It takes efforts and sacrifices

Christ loves us, He laid His life
Our parents do, they gave their resources
To love is to be selfless
Not all seeds germinate, sow it regardless

I just want to stay in my bubble
To cleanse from the worldly pollution
To dig deep within my soul
To discover the man that I am meant to be

I just want to stay in my bubble
To love me, not by spending on myself
Not by acquiring material things
But by appreciating my pristine spirit

To process my thoughts
To exhale my fears, doubts and worries
To infuse myself with strength, courage and zeal

How ironic that we cast stones
At a man that looks like us
Not physically
But in actions and deeds

It's much easier to see another's misdeeds
Even though, we are planting similar seeds
But ours, we wouldn't see
Isn't that hypocrisy?

I suggest we drop our stones
And pick up a mirror
Some of us have beams in our eyes
And our hearts are waxing colder than ice

I woke up this morning and
I started counting my blessings
I found out that I'm more blessed
than I ever thought or imagined.

Even though I don't have a million dollars
in my bank account, not even 10% of that
Neither do I own a fast or luxurious car
But blessedness is not confined to that.

I haven't been in a hospital bed in years
I realized that I have a family that cares
I've never not have a roof over my head
Every night, I lay on a comfortable bed.

I have clean water running through my taps
My freedom is not restricted by bars
My mouth hasn't been short of laughs
Even the dark times were filled with stars

It dawned on me that
I have a lot to be thankful for
It's a question of where I put my focus on!

Sometimes, the little acts of kindness
(with little or no monetary value)
speaks the most to others.
We can all create a lovely and
positive aura around us,
it begins with me.

Trials and tribulations
Tests and persecutions
Trying times
Tormenting periods

They are all for a season
For faith workout reasons
My friend, do not cower
Let your faith rise like a tower

I won't give up
I won't give in
I won't cave in

These are my proclamations
And this too shall pass
Soon, I will look back and say
Yay, Season has changed!

It's better to be empty
Than full of crap

One has room
To save valuables

The other needs a broom
To save valuables!

If you keep winning
Without learning anything new
You're probably too grown for that level
It's about time to level up

When it seems like you lost
But you learnt at least one tangible lesson
Then, it's not a total loss

One person healing the world is far-fetched
But one person can heal another's world
Less healing will be required
If we don't cause pain to one another in the first place
Prevention is sure better than cure!

You said you wanted to leave
I couldn't come up with reasons for you to stay
But this is what I would say...
Remember the trees during fall season
When the leaves drop
After few months, new and fresher leaves will spring forth
Leaves fall, leaves grow... The tree stays
I believe each leaf plays its part
Before it eventually departs
So, thanks for the season(s) you stayed!

The word "balance" seems so underrated
We need it in almost every aspect of our lives.
There has to be a balance between the time we commit to our jobs and our family.
Between work and play.
Between spending, saving and investing.
Balance is also important in our diet, hence "balanced diet".
Balance is crucial to live a quality life.

Refusal to make moves is also a risk

Not giving up on your idea when people say it's dumb is a risk

Choosing a life partner is a risk
Not choosing one is also a risk

The choice to be good to people is a risk
The choice not to care is also a risk

So, maybe risks are unavoidable
Therefore, take those that are profitable

What is transparency?
Is it revealing what you want them to see
Or baring your soul for someone to see
But how could you share what you're dealing with within, when you know they'll end up using it against you or call you weak
So, you leave it trapped in, even though it's eating you deep
You wish to throw the lid away and let it bubble out, but who can you trust it with
Especially since you tried before and it came back to bite you
