I woke up this morning and
I started counting my blessings
I found out that I'm more blessed
than I ever thought or imagined.

Even though I don't have a million dollars
in my bank account, not even 10% of that
Neither do I own a fast or luxurious car
But blessedness is not confined to that.

I haven't been in a hospital bed in years
I realized that I have a family that cares
I've never not have a roof over my head
Every night, I lay on a comfortable bed.

I have clean water running through my taps
My freedom is not restricted by bars
My mouth hasn't been short of laughs
Even the dark times were filled with stars

It dawned on me that
I have a lot to be thankful for
It's a question of where I put my focus on!

He is loved by all
Except by...himself
In his "alone moments", he drowns in tears
He can't seem to run away from his fears
He can't hush the demons yelling in his head
It felt like his life was hanging on a tiny piece of thread
He longed for the day it would all end

But one day, He found a new friend
He met the One called Love
And his story was turned around
His hope was fully restored
He discovered his true worth
He became a new being
Totally transformed
What an encounter he had with Jesus!

Is there such a thing as
Addiction to Likes?
Like refreshing that page multiple times
Just to get that "hit of like" like crack

What about constantly watching the notifications
Or dishing out likes just to get some in return
It does have an effect that makes people crave for more

Every new day presents
new opportunities to
put a smile on somebody's face.
Little acts of kindness
can go a long way in
brightening
another person's day.
Make an effort each
and every day
to be an agent of hope
because what you do to others
will surely come back to you
in multiple folds.

She is like my all-weather tires
The type that you NEVER have to change
She's been with me at all seasons
She's not the one I ride on
But the one that keeps me going

A fortune can be hidden within a mistake
And a mistake can also take a fortune away
The direction goes in both ways
With a lot of possibilities in between

Some have discovered their purpose
right in the center of a mistake
Some have forsaken or lost
their purpose due to a mistake

A mistake might not mark the end of a life
But it could potentially be a huge turning point
A turning to the blooming or withering of a life
With a wide range of options in between.

Why do we keep how we truly feel
under lock and key

Society has trained us that
to express your emotions is to be weak

How sad that we are somehow fooled that
realness means weakness

Maybe some of us already lost how to be true

Does it not burn within you
when you act a certain way
but you know deep inside that
that is not who you truly are.

Death is not a destination,
it's nothing but a transition
From mortality to immortality.
From brevity to eternity.

Death is like a border,
Only that worldly possessions
aren't allowed to be checked in.
No degrees, titles, accolades, monies.
No pains, ailments, suffering, poverty.

On the other side of death is
The beginning of a new phase,
Determined by 'how & what'
the person did with his/her life?
And not what he/she had or didn't have.

Death is like the submission
of an answer booklet
And that makes life the question.
Meaning you still have time
To answer your questions
How well do want to score?

We don't appreciate what we have
until we lose it
We don't see the glow on the skin
until we bruise it
We don't believe in miracles
until we need it

We don't appreciate farming
until there's famine
We don't appreciate water availability
until there's water scarcity
We don't appreciate wealth
until we see poverty
We don't appreciate good health
until we experience infirmity

We don't appreciate democracy
until we see tyranny
We don't appreciate loyalty
until we see jealousy
We don't appreciate liberty
until we see slavery!

Once upon a time
A Lion became a Lamb
For the purpose of remission
An obedient and willful decision

For man's sake, He was crowned with thorns
He took off all human's shackles and bonds
He abolished death
And gave birth to the new birth

He fully paid the price of all human's sins
He became poor that human might be rich
He was broken that human might be whole
Restored human's position as God's daughters and sons

The Lamb fulfilled His mission,
Returned to His home
Also human's home
A story of Salvation!

From the first day I saw you
I knew you would be mine
I figured it would take time
I promised myself to wait

Those curves on your lips
Complements those on your hips
The sound of your voice
Is like Angels singing praises

Good things don't come easy
It took months to get a date with you
Cos you were always busy
I'm glad to say on this day
That you are now my Mrs.

Pay attention to what or who
You give your resources (time & energy) to
Attention is an initial cost
And ongoing expense on all endeavours

Attention that is smartly paid
Has great return on investment
And attention not paid
Or paid on the wrong things
Returns a cost that could be unbearable.

My skin is beautiful
But above that,
I ensure to wear a more beautiful attitude
It is no news that,
Attitude impacts altitude

The energy I exude is my responsibility
Watching it closely becomes a necessity
The goal is to display positivity
The emotions I emit
Is exactly what surrounds me

Sometimes, the little acts of kindness
(with little or no monetary value)
speaks the most to others.
We can all create a lovely and
positive aura around us,
it begins with me.
