you never know if a person is loyal
until you, or that person dies
loyalty means loyal until death
although many of us wear that disguise
we say we are friends until the end
while we look into the eyes
meanwhile, under our breath
we are hoping for the other's demise

how am i supposed to take my time
when i don't know when time is taking me
how can i make up my mind
when my mind is only breaking me

how can i see it clear
when it clearly can't be seen
how can i stop the fear
when the fear is everything

how am i supposed to let it be
when my thoughts aren't letting me
how can i get the point
when the point keeps stabbing me
GaryFairy Jul 2013
Get on the train
train your mind to refrain
refrain from thinking of the mundane
mundane thoughts will drive you insane
insane minds feel great pain
pain that is hard to contain
contain yourself and remain
remain free from all the strain
strain can make it hard to maintain
maintain your brain

there's a final destination
but i have no plans
i'm a free-ranging, solitary, makeshift man

there's so many resting places
but i have to move
i have plenty to do and nothing to prove

there's a final destination
but within life's span
i'm a free-ranging, solitary, makeshift man

Thanks for hiring me
i was the man for the job
i knew i would love it
when my hand touched the ****

my art is demolition
my little wrecking ball
smashing empty buildings
how i love to watch them fall

thanks for hiring me
i didn't let you down
i turned their city
to nothing but ground

an image is a game to play
they wear a disguise under midnight skies

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil

That means I didn't see anything, I didn't hear anything, so don't ask me questions

You wouldn't believe me if I told you. Unless it is what you wanted me to tell you.

don't be afraid Freddie
I am also a son of some maniacs

man, how times have changed

in the 80s it seemed like kids were the bad guys

so, how have you been since the death of dreaming?
GaryFairy Dec 2013
He might be a little hairy
but to me he isn't scary
we hang out in the woods
and run through the prairie

we explore the country side
while we just play and hide
letting instinct be our guide
bushy tailed and wild eyed

that's how i spend my time
with the fuzzy friend of mine
carefree as we play and climb
beneath the moon and sunshine

we never have a single worry
as we jump and as we scurry
we are never in a hurry

she ran to the bedroom to hide away
but he had a key to every door
she wondered if she would die today
she wondered what she was living for

he followed her, with whiskey breath
this time he would make her pay
he knew this would end in death
he knew she would die today

the first time our eyes met
possibilities filled my heart
you smiled at me softly
i could feel that spark

the first time our hearts met
you made my still blood flow
we stayed up late, just talking
about things we didn't know

the first time our skin met
the warmth then filled my veins
we started a fire together
making love in the rain

.
.
.

the first time our egos met
the collision took it's toll
we got lost in the explosion
where did our pieces go?

.
.
.

the last time our eyes met
you were driving away
you looked toward me blankly
with nothing left to say

Merry Christmas to me
there's no gift in being we
tinsel eyes can only see
the present of the burning tree

merry Christmas to you
your gift is wrapped in blue
ornament hands can only do
what they were created to

Don't stick to the tried and true
try to do what you die to do
I have no reason to lie to you
it'd also be myself that I'm lying to

I take no time to think it through
I think I do, just think and do
give them a reason to drink to you
or you might be with them just drinking too

then again, if I were you, I would never take advice

Within the whole scope of emotions
without any prejudice
never hiding not one notion
feasting on the bread we miss

with no path on which to stumble
understanding of humanity
a heart still so humble
breaking free of the insanity

always the one who is open minded
with no chains of opinion
never even blurred or blinded
a mind of perfect dominion

Maximal tactics, i'm moving diagonal
fast attack, mad like a rabid animal
I can scramble em and eat em up like a cannibal
silence of the lambs, you can call me hannibal

factual master of blasting the practical
grammatical fractions that act like a manual
brashly cast and I smash like a radical
glad to put a badass on a lasting sabbatical

I hit with a fist and it's fit for the mystical
put **** in the britches of the illiterate pitiful
I get physical on the brittle when condition is critical
on a mission to finish putting rips in the typical

my aim is to put a face on the faceless
making statements for wasted cases
i take myself into forsaken spaces
all for the sake to escape those places

a fate to make shapes out of shapeless
creating grace on pages as my basis
a campaign to replace the fake embraces
leaving the traces that no eraser erases

harvesting parts from my garden of carnage
farming the darkness of my own catharsis
revealing the marks regarding the tarnish
hitting the target, the heart of the artist

how many times have i died?
to show the "i" that i am inside
nothing to hide, i'm cut open wide
these lines of rhymes are my suicide

embarking on journeys to harness the farthest
charting the course that startles the smartest
imparting a sparkle with scars as a garnish
hitting the target, the heart of the artist

I don't need permission to fit my own vision
**** on giving in to this system prison
it's all fiction, i stiffen when i listen
i'm driven by the hissing of friction

it's my decision to resist with suspicion
unforgiven for fits written like a religion
lists of wishes and living submissions
on a trip to distance myself from tradition
GaryFairy Jul 2015
i'm just man with a radical passion
i craft the lines and then put them in action
snapping the backs of theatrical factions
smashing the mansions of every flashy attraction

subtract the stacks of imagined distraction
standing in the shadows like an assassin
attacking and slashing with reactive exaction

a new blueprint to future improvements
truth and illusion, rooting down to it
using my muse to fluid the movements
i do what i do and only i do it

i choose true views, crucial exclusives
a brutal but proven fuel for usage
a fuse for a boom and a noose for a nuisance
tooting no horns and soothing no prudence

an astute pupil when getting down to it
using pure fusion and never diluted
i do what i do and only i do it

it must be in my composition
composing lines of opposition
opposing the forces of inhibition
inhibiting me, and my mission

maybe the reason for my creation
creating lines of aspiration
aspiring to give my own translation
translating thoughts into formulation

=========thesis of completion============

i was made from the pavement of places
where faces are vacant of any translation
i interlace traces of those wasted cases
as a way of portraying their lost salvation

i speak from the streets of broken pieces
where the weak sleep in the heat of depletion
i seek to find some peace in my thesis
where these creatures reek of completion
i decided to throw in the second poem because i thought it kind of related to why i write...which, is what my mission statement series is all about

No one ever tried to understand
no one ever tried
no one ever held my hand
no one by my side

no one ever talked to my heart
no one ever did
no one ever played a part

no one ever would
no one felt so misunderstood
no one ever should
i have tried to post this many times

There have been times I've been lost all alone
18 years old and without a home
I robbed and I stole, and I let it be known...
I'll slice your throat, and cut to the bone

swabbin' the deck and walkin' the plank
clangor and crash, clatter and clank
I had myself and the devil to thank
swillin' down whiskey, I drank and I drank

batten the hatches, there's rough seas ahead
sterns would be broke and sails would be shred
splatter his guts and off with his head
let dead men lie where they've made their bed
written in 2014 - not proud of this, but it's a true story

mom
There's good and bad in everyone's past
there are steps i never want to re-trace
slow to grow, but anger fast
so much regret of love misplaced

any day could be our last
the past is better off erased
re-living is small, but the future is vast
let's never again face what we faced

from this day, all i ask
is that our hearts be inter-laced
i forever want to have you back
my mom can never be replaced

my dad was a cold and hardened man
the concept of love, he didn't understand
he had a family, didn't care for them
I never wanted to be like him

my mom was neurotic, lost in space

she had a son, but it's all just a blur
I never wanted to be like her

all the things that a mother does
a loving touch, a hand that heals
I wouldn't know what that is like
I wouldn't know how that feels

she is just another stranger
though, the vessel of my birth
she never did what a mother does
though, she put me on this earth

I felt a bond when I was young
but that bond faded away
these words only burn my tongue
"happy mother's day"

private, you are to open new pathways in the north sector
sir, but we found the main power and then it was gone
sir, this tells me that this will happen again and again
are you refusing to follow a direct order from a commanding officer?
sir, no sir
ok good, because we think you might have just hallucinated finding the main power, or maybe just hallucinated that it disappeared
you are a fine soldier
clear the enemies from your mind, and they can't shoot you
yes sir!
now, get in there and dig deep...find that main power and free it
the whole world is depending on you
that's a lot of innocent people

a lot of guilty too sir
private! we are only worried about the innocent
when we get their power, they will take care of the guilty
here are your weapons, peyote to see, mushrooms to do
sir, yes sir!
now get in there and clear some space!
see you on the other side of consciousness soldier
sir, yes sir!
OORAH!

there's a present to you, from me

I never wanted it to come to this

without the camera and the crews
without medics on 24 hour call
who would help you with every bruise

survival isn't about a commercial
figures hide behind a ruse
this is a lesson for us all
survival isn't something you choose
We all know that people act different, if they know they're being filmed.

My home is the whispering willow
where shade and rest can be found
a clump of grass, I use for a pillow
I make my bed right on the ground

my home is in the flowing stream
where the cool waters seem to heal
the sounds seem like i'm in a dream
but my senses tell me that it's real

my home is on the mountain top
where the squirrels and rabbits play
my natural life, I would never swap
I just can't see it any other way

Let the words downpour
let the thoughts pour down
when you have found more
there will be more found

give yourself an outlet
a simple way to let out
don't ever doubt sweat
and never sweat doubt

you can reach the shoreline
let your words line shore
you can give them more shine
you can make them shine more

Here is a new form i am working on, and i am posting it here before anywhere. It is called a flip flop because the last two words of each line must switch places. I call this one a compound flip flop because the first line in each stanza ends with a compound word. There's also a normal flip flop. Hope you enjoy.

let's not talk about the past
the past is where the future starts
forever let it be severed
like a new day in our hearts

we equate material with pleasure
that's not clever on our part

our lives, our dreams, our art

we could change this world forever
together we fall apart
they say never say never
too bad that's never in our hearts

where the water flow was WEAK for a WEEK
we couldn't set SAIL for the SALE
I might look PALE because I needed a PAIL

see, my WHOLE boat is full of HOLES
when it SEES the SEAS it always rolls
I can see THEIR boats over THERE
I just stand on the STAIR and STARE

I wish TO be out there sailing TOO
there's something DUE that I must DO
I don't KNOW how to say NO
never say NOT and let the KNOT go
I tried to make some sense. LOL
