glorious apricot roses
graced the manor's garden
their color blended nicely
with the green hedgerow
oft they've inquired as to
why their poems don't trend
this is a mystery only known
at the algorithm's end

a random pick done
by a selection device
inside the computer program's
unspecified dice

it is hoped that this brief
explanation gives some insight
as to how an anthology
receives the green light
grey clouds are gathering over our town
and within the next few minutes
the rain will be pouring down

the moisture is what the farmers need
to get the crops hopping
out of their husk beads

the spring season isn't far away
and the rain we get to-day
will make the countryside green of array
the grass is always greener on the other side of life
the greenness there is truly rife

on the other side every thing is minted in a greener flush
every thing is so very plush

if perchance a lottery win is afforded to thee
I'll be rolling in a *** of greenery

a diamond ring and sports car will be at the top of my list
should those notes of green currency be placed in my fist

I dream every night and I dream every day
to be on the side of life where green doth array

by golly gee... wouldn't it be grand
to be catapulted into that green tinged land
in
the land
down under
retired folk
get on the roadways
touring extensive countryside
their destinations do vary
some go to the coastal strips while some
do the inland trek in the red hues
we call these older folks the grey nomads
acrid tears
did burn
her soul
a sorrow of loss
unto her being
lasting pain
shackled the light
of her heart
bearing a travail
vast in gloom
a void dwelt
in the sadness
of night
the balm of time
bought
relief
to her
anguished
grief
sorrow's tears
burn the heart
with pain
the loss of a loved one
is saddening
in its rain
the shedding of tears
the saying goodbye
ever stains
the grieving ones
eyes
mainstream media's marching
order
couldn't be more clarion clear
as they promote a favourable
left
left
left
stepping gear

it is obvious that they
do not approval of the
right
right
right side's
foot
items they broadcast
about it are ever
covered with damning soot

of this tale you'll
get the gist
in relation to the
mainstream media's grist
we cannot condone those
who trash a writing zone
they waltz in and litter the abode
as if it's theirs alone
well excuse us for not liking
the bad state of our cone
before they turned up everything
had a tidiness in tone

the ******* has no sense
of where it should hang out
it just delights in strewing
its self liberally about
we're all wishing that it'll
be on the way out*
cause none of us are
fussed at its piling tout

our environment is under
a waste cloud
may we soon see a lifting
*of its grotty shroud
twas a most disturbing scene
in a kitchen at Aberdeen
the details are too horrific
to disclose
let's say this
and this alone
the forensic team
had to ladle some bone
bits of dermis
were scattered around
the kitchen compound

the wife had done the deed
she'd disposed of her husband
who was a bad seed

he'd been thumping and slapping
her around
knocking her with force
to the ground
she'd contended
with his rough house treatment
for far too long
so she decided
to right his wrong

she's in prison
doing time
but it is her husband
who now tows the line

domestic violence
did him no favors

a woman was pushed
one too many times
in a kitchen at Aberdeen
gruesome was the crime
This poem is based on a true story.
the biggest gig is about to be staged
on Donald Trump being inaugurated
though some citizens are so outraged
their great displeasure not mitigated
he won the Presidential position
which is an office he'll run o'er four years
Washington did await fresh condition
liberals it's time for alternate gears
an oath pledged in service of the land
stars and stripes waving to e'er support
a day a nation will honor this stand
the event broadcast on world news report
an outset of a new era shall start
with the constitution his guiding chart
this morning I awoke
with gum abrasions
and let me tell you
it wasn't the happiest of occasions

the bottom set of false teeth
were ripped out
as they'd been wearing
the gum line about

some gum gel
was duly applied to gain relief
the bottom set of false teeth
had given me enough grief

at lunch time
I shall pop the teeth back in
so I can restore
my toothy grin

should the **** teeth
abrade my gums anymore
I shall have to get the dental mechanic
to realign the bottom draw
the department that handles
all communications
has gone on an extended
European vacation

they wont be back on the job
till sometime in late May
so all senders of messages
will be in for a long delay

should an emergency arise
and help be required
just know that the department
was holiday inspired

they weren't thinking
of our vital exchanges
nor of the distance between
our country's vast ranges

with a bit of luck they'll return
early from their furlough
to get the communication lines
back to a gushing flow
For many long hours the wind hasn't abated
It's blusters are rather agitated
Street paper and leaves hurled about
Tree boughs bending in the fast paced throng
No doubt the gales whisk is verily strong
Birds are getting buffeted in the sky
There's no respite from the wind's speedy fly
My back door just let out a slamming shout
Those south westerlies are ripping affairs
Throughout this day they'll be flouting their airs
A turbulence called in our regions
Bringing currents that are rapid of whirl
They bear a truly unabashed twirl
We'd gladly farewell their gusting legions
#wind  #gusting  #fly
a measure of this
shall ne'er be far wrong
within your person
what it tells
can be taken
as being on the mark
and to be aware of it
shall prove you to be
no goof
down in the basement
of the intestines
this innate thing
doth really shine
its advisory
is worth listening to
such is the insight
it brings
not any miring
nor cloudiness
but a transparent case
peerless
without it where would we be
the gut instinct
that marvel of nature
is of us all
such
a valuable
commodity
the spirit of a gypsy wind
took his hand she guided him
into a land of fond rapport
and there he remained
forevermore
last night a fog curtain crept in
dense was its skin
nowt could be seen
through the thick screen

staying long after dawn arose
with a heavy pose
its veil didn't lift
till late morn's drift

the compact shroud being on-going
by its showing
around our town
clad in haar gown
this morning I found my computer had been hacker attacked
is there a way that a hacker can be tracked
my friendly computer repairer is going to have a look for me
to see what the attacker has stolen from me
a powder of frost
covers the bush land's terrain
on this cold June day
just before sun up
croaking frogs were heard croaking
around the river
around the wheat field
orange winged butteries
gracefully danced
some twenty years ago
my sister and her daughter
saw a UFO
This haiku is based on an actual event... My sister and her daughter were traveling home from a near by town at around 8:00 pm and a strange object hovered over their car as they were motoring along the road. It hovered for around two or so minutes and then shot off towards the west at a rapid speed.
a heavy sheet of frost
draped over our township
earlier this morning
white crystals formed
atop the tablelands last night
Jack Frost had called
gelid wind blusters
drove a freezing current's trail
through the snow clad dales
around the garden
a dainty blue butterfly
did pirouette all day
birds sing tunes gay
on this lovely bright spring day
their songs nicely play
a faint pencil line
marks dusk's far off horizon
in day's curtain close
amid sparkling stars
sailed a luminous moon
chartering night seas
toward western hills
the last vestiges of light
sink as day draws down
the snow's cold blanket
wrapped a biting winter
chill around the land
small flights of sparrows
landed on the river's edge
to take refreshment
murderous war fiends
pleasure in lethal pursuits
they know not of pity
a voile of thin mist
tarried over the backyard
till well after nine
at Glasgow's altar
green zealots offer prayers
for carbon cut backs
drab low hanging clouds
encircle our township to-day
with their raining drear
leaves of many hues
were strewn on the park-land's ground
as fall confetti
on the eastern range
plumes of profuse grey smoke
did rise to the sky
a fast skirling wind
raced through the gumtree limbs
bending their branches
fresh and printed new
as the glistening morn dew
tis a lovely view

old and so well worn
as the near dead cobs of corn
tis a sight forlorn
in a frantic mode
did come the Atlantic swirl
reeking havoc's toll
as intense sunlight
cut through the forest's canopy
it left dappled shade
on the forest floor
bark twigs and leaf matter lay
they'd soon be compost
o' er the dark night's sea
a full blood moon journeyed
to dawn's first light port
the last vestiges
of sunlight shall return to
a dusk horizon
a light mist tarried
o'er the verdant river flats
as first light did break
volleys of thunder
resound across the bush sky
this late Monday night
as day came to end
last vestiges of sunlight
sank toward the west
magenta billows
bedecked the morning skies
in a lipstick pink
may a lasting peace
prevail on this our planet
for all of mankind
