"warrant" poems
I want to write a poem. No, like I really really really wanna write a poem. Problem, stick it to me. Pause Poems have to be good. Okay, so a poem doesn't have to be good However, the point of the art is to have someone read Those flippy little words that you pulled out Of some intangible existence and pasted on The Internet. The Internet, So you don't always put it online but, Other people are "supposed" to read it. To enjoy it, give you a pat on the back, Maybe an "I see what you did there". So poems are supposed to be presentable. You've got to pay in sweat and ink but, At least the words themselves are free. What if I don't wanna have to make a "good" poem? Okay so I really do want a pat on the back but Sometimes I really like pasting things from Intangible existences. Fancy words right? Let me pat my own back. Sometimes I just like putting my emotions on paper While sounding like I read More dictionaries than Webster. Ha, ha, sigh. There's a problem with having to be inspired to write **** down. Do you think someone pays Taylor Swift's boyfriends To break up with her So she can write the Next big hit? I wouldn't doubt it. My guardian angel should make the people around me Say weird stuff such that I can write about Walking on waves of shattered glass Or Singing of birds in circled flight. Maybe I'd be better off being hit by a car. That'd be some pretty touching poetry. Some people write happy poetry too, I don't know how they do it. Sorry but, my world isn't flowers and  butterflies Enough to warrant discussion of Staying in the fairy meadow of light. Sorry, I'm just jealous. Maybe I just like writing stuff down? What if I just don't want to be forgotten? Leaving a legacy in my words more indellible Than a pat on the back. Doubt it. I just don't want to forget. Brain, why don't you get it? I'm sitting here getting all intimate with an idea and The next morning Brain's got no clue what their name is. Like really, even if we invite a friend over and get creative with Our tongues and mouths, Brain doesn't remember the moments shared between us. Paper doesn't think very well but it's got a decent memory bank. So I save up for a brand new poem. I thought words were free.

Graffiti, Graffiti, Graffiti Being bled onto The landscapes between thighs Incarcerating women's wombs Justifying men's genes Foreigners appropriating Women's and men's sexualities Losing the power to be When changing our roles' long overdue Gendering our words and attitudes Man, who taught you to be a chauvinist! Woman, who taught you to be a ********* Don't put your god in gendered bigotry Do man's emotions feminize him? When will women freely carry torches! What gender do you assign this voice? SONNET TRIBUTE: CLAIRE HART
As a uniform, he always wore the grey ironmonger's coat immaculately pressed and bore clipped hair neat as well as a close shave. Mr. Cornthwaite (all of us minions called him only Mr.) was no "Do It 'Cos I Say So" boss but with patience would teach and preach retail folklore: Cooks' staples stored well inside our mini-market shop advanced for its 50s' existence; shelf-stacking to re-arrange for early use-by at the front; fast-moving lines checked hourly if not sooner; trusted staff becoming the Tasting Squad for new fresh produce being considered for supply - The Cornflake (never uttered in his hearing) circulating to ensure not only that his ever-clear commands were reflected in full shelves but also that staff were coping not rushed or overwhelmed. The best Warrant Officer cares just as much commands as my de-mobbed Warrant Officer father used to tell me when I asked. (c) C J Heyworth

Thank You Stanley Cornflake
Death doesn't discriminate Quite frankly, He doesn't care Once He's out of the barrel Whizzing through midair. Gay, straight, Lesbian or Bi You have no control if you die. But the finger that pulled the trigger Now that's a different story. But motives mean nothing to the family in mourning This morning. There's nothing you could say or explain away that would bring comfort today. If you told them it was religion or a hate crime that doesn't give them any more time. And it's the outpouring of speechless faces Awestruck gazes That should shake us awake in every state from our state of denial. These cold steel devices have become our vices becoming our own rod of judgement in bringing "justice".   A disagreement in lifestyle does not warrant a life. If you feel offended, just turn the other cheek And prevent tears from streaming down cheeks. Death might not discriminate, but those who discriminate bring death. Whether it's in the form of a gun Or a loved one being shunned. Life is precious and sacred And if someone has it, you shouldn't take it.

Death Doesn't Discriminate Pt. II
You held me in place with that commanding look writhing under your gaze unable to look away from the piercing sight and afraid to disobey any order If it was uttered from your lips my heart would have soared, stretched, and broken to be praised by your words or tenderly touched with your rough hands I could feel your hand on my neck squeezing slowly until the blood started pounding my pain was your pleasure and your pleasure was my purpose Little did I know that you would be squeezing too strongly the ropes were too tight around my waist the collar choking my neck no amount of clawing would have made you let go so I went limp with my love A submissive gives trust yields to whoever they believe is worthy submitting more than their body but their very essence A dominant is supposed to wield that trust to protect and realize the significance of it not squeeze and suffocate it pretending that lies warrant trust in return I could not have been enough for your demands and you broke the trust I gingerly placed in your hands Take your bonds and pretend to wrap them around someone else my being can take no more of your bruising

Broken Bonds
The Love of God Is not average love Definitely not the love of today Is this why people look in such a way Which keeps them guessing Wondering why you’re not stressin’ Over hurts of the past nor yesterday See, I have experienced His Agape I’ve learned, every hurt is not a deal breaker Every wrong deed does not warrant a person being deserted When was the last time you hurt a friend Not for the first time, but… again Sometimes forgiveness and restoration is for the best Not all hurts should be overly stressed Have you participated in your fair share of mess…? I guess, yes Practice restoration and forgiveness Because… Every hurt is not a deal breaker Every wrong deed does not warrant a person being deserted Walk in His Agape love Simply His Love “Unconditional” ~Butterfly εїз 2014©

I chase the blazing sun on the wings of a gentle breeze With my soul, freely open and unconfined Listening to the rhythm of the harmony of trees Singing songs of release To all mankind I am never fazed by rain that pours in torrents When my skies are black as coal No fear does flashes of lightening warrant With this song I hear Kept in my soul I carry wisdom within my *****  found as I chase The blazing sun, on these gentle wings Holding inside the rhythm of a trees embrace In this melody To you, I softly sing No secrets do I hold inside of me, yet I cannot be held I am yours and still I am my own Chasing the blazing sun as I am so compelled Returning always To sing to you my song

Dragonfly   o   Dragonfly   framed against a lazy summer sky, you'll hover and ponder out yonder, like an acrobat you fly. You'll dance and dart, hover and peer, Touching, stalking, feathered walking. On pond shadows dark and near, onto sunbeams  sparkling clear. Casting imaged reflections, on a mirrored surface of life's crystal pond. Where ever-diminishing dainty rippled circles, disappear onto a distant misty shore beyond. You'll ponder and peep, through dark secrets your pond might keep,   captured images of animals & bees, scented flowers & soft young trees. About political boundary bursts, and agonizing desert thirsts. While strife-torn agony song is being sung, at the scorching heat of the searing Sun. Witnessing a climate change, Industrial, Oil, Air & Waste pollution. With no workable cleanup program in site, to warrant a solution. Our planet's resources stretched, to its limits by human misery & industry untold. Life's habitats are disappearing, the beginning of Earth end is nearing. It is inevitable that soon, to soon, after million a year, on life's crystal ponds so clear. You'll too succumb to man's industrious endevours, and for eternity disappear. Dragonfly o Dragonfly
There are some people, Who will always do the right thing. These are the people, though, That seem to judge others, so harshly. good people, you see things so clearly, Too clearly. Surely, one mistake, however monumental Doesn't warrant condemnation, evermore? I want to be with the baddies, right now, because I am one. I feel like a pantomime villain. I want to hang out with Snow White's evil stepmother, or the Ugly Sisters, Down tequila with the Wicked Witch of the West. Fit company, for me. Not really, I don't believe that, but in my darkest moments, I do feel like a monster. Whose moral code did I defy? And does it matter? What does it matter, I don't care what matters, any more. Just call me Cruella, and **** me to Hell, It's nothing I'm not doing to myself, already. Drop a house on me, (The ***** is dead) Ding ****

1051 I cannot meet the Spring unmoved— I feel the old desire— A Hurry with a lingering, mixed, A Warrant to be fair— A Competition in my sense With something hid in Her— And as she vanishes, Remorse I saw no more of Her.

Go, Soul, the body’s guest, Upon a thankless errand; Fear not to touch the best; The truth shall be thy warrant: Go, since I needs must die, And give the world the lie. Say to the court, it glows And shines like rotten wood; Say to the church, it shows What’s good, and doth no good: If church and court reply, Then give them both the lie. Tell potentates, they live Acting by others’ action; Not loved unless they give, Not strong but by a faction. If potentates reply, Give potentates the lie. Tell men of high condition, That manage the estate, Their purpose is ambition, Their practice only hate: And if they once reply, Then give them all the lie. Tell them that brave it most, They beg for more by spending, Who, in their greatest cost, Seek nothing but commending. And if they make reply, Then give them all the lie. Tell zeal it wants devotion; Tell love it is but lust; Tell time it is but motion; Tell flesh it is but dust: And wish them not reply, For thou must give the lie. Tell age it daily wasteth; Tell honour how it alters; Tell beauty how she blasteth; Tell favour how it falters: And as they shall reply, Give every one the lie. Tell wit how much it wrangles In tickle points of niceness; Tell wisdom she entangles Herself in overwiseness: And when they do reply, Straight give them both the lie. Tell physic of her boldness; Tell skill it is pretension; Tell charity of coldness; Tell law it is contention: And as they do reply, So give them still the lie. Tell fortune of her blindness; Tell nature of decay; Tell friendship of unkindness; Tell justice of delay: And if they will reply, Then give them all the lie. Tell arts they have no soundness, But vary by esteeming; Tell schools they want profoundness, And stand too much on seeming: If arts and schools reply, Give arts and schools the lie. Tell faith it’s fled the city; Tell how the country erreth; Tell manhood shakes off pity And virtue least preferreth: And if they do reply, Spare not to give the lie. So when thou hast, as I Commanded thee, done blabbing— Although to give the lie Deserves no less than stabbing— Stab at thee he that will, No stab the soul can ****

I I am in Cardiff      Where foams pummel the jetty I am in Cardiff      Where crab skeletons blanch the beach I am in Cardiff      Where the Pilot Star became a conch I was in the ruse of age      Where the young kiss I was in Joshua Tree      Where the mind is thoughtless I am a grove's wilting I will be an unbearable urge And I am shivering in Santa Ana near Bristol and 1st II There is intent when the addict mutters -- Estranged in his unhappy gutters -- "Life is cheap and love is free." Hopelessness's epitome Sits naked beyond the wall. There is derision in the dealer's call -- Osmium-heat in an unimpeded fall -- "You can't change who you are." Greed could tear down a star To sculpt into a Cardiff shell. Warrant breeds within a child's yell. Her hair has been shorn Her face cut and bruised Her flowing gown torn The beauty once in her eyes Faded Drone strikes Warrant less searches Roadblocks and pat downs Eaves dropping Secret eyes and ears Always listening Always watching Be careful what you do Or they may come after you Swat teams and armored cars Men clad in black Weapons at the ready Waiting to attack They have her now Imprisoned Cold shackles hold her hands Her breath is low and shallow Seems that death Is now at hand

(1) I posted a poem at hello poetry - and what happened? Somebody started following me I received a "notification" (I can’t say “much to my gratification”) that someone started following me I think it went something like: “Naked Blueberry started following you” (2) Oh what did I do? What did I dodo? All I did was to post a poem and not a word from you - O cruel menacing follower - not a comment not an expression of your displeasure but you started following me What did I do? What did I dodo? (3) Sure I may tell bad jokes and write verse that daily gets worse Yeah, I may look ugly like I stole a look from my fav Mad magazine and once in a while I say something about organisations - but does that warrant you following me and transforming me into a near-nervous wreck? O Naked Blueberry what did I do? What did I dodo - why do you follow me, you naked stalker? I lie in bed now afraid and my wife worries that I cry out often in sleep: “Hence, You Naked Succubus - Follow me not!” And I dare not approach my car but after looking under bonnet and boot and below the carriage I dare not write a word now but fear that you and your agents will follow and stalk me with ne’er a word, ne’er a warning At least tell me, please O follower O Naked Blueberry, O Protean Terminator O **** Redberry   and all the others in various guises (I know you guys are all one person, namely Lily Raw and Ready) - tell me why you follow, show me cause of your anger O what did I do? What did I dodo? What should I do? What should I dodo?

tiara you call your cuts failures and your blood a testament to all the times you didn’t succeed but living is an art and you are clearly an artist so don’t tell me there’s no reason why you are still alive. when the cops came you swam through a crack haze to the window and jumped i wasn’t there but i can see it so vividly now you thought you’d land like a cat but your legs gave out and snapped like popsicle sticks you shrugged off the pain and choked on blood as you dragged yourself across the lawn there was a warrant for your arrest you decided to give up and wait for them to find you collapsing in on yourself on a moment’s notice is your specialty. laugh about the man who cheats on you dream about stabbing his ex-girlfriend tonight i will not give you knives girl you know the world is a harsh place learn to navigate it with no razors. you are not a crown to be worn by others you like to make sure people know you are a tiara and you will weigh heavy on their heads. tell me you are stupid say the methamphetimes made craters in your brain as you peer at me over your physics textbook that you call light reading. lament about the classes you failed as you strap jigsaw puzzles together with the scarred arms you carry the split skin you once opened out in the open. are you calling me stupid by playing this lying game? tiara you are all cat eyes a frail body with an endless appetite we both secretly derive joy from the money i spent slipping you candy bars and the flowers i left by your door that you dried between the pages of books. you have not been outside since december i want to bring you more than flowers i want to bring you grass and dirt, trees and roots, birds and mice and worms i want to give you life i want you to run your fingers through it lovingly. you shoulder pain so indifferently i want to make you cry for more beautiful things i want to grab your tender wrists and fill them with the sunlight. when i left i hugged you so tight you said you’d see me all the big plans you had i knew you were lying again i know you cried that night. tiara i love you you are someone who needs to bear the weight of those words not the pain of never hearing them. that is what you needed to hear why did i never say it.

For Your Consideration
. I see her beautiful shape laying still and quiet in our bed, sleeping form curled around the pillow on which I left my scent. But I am a self made Ghost and I saw her cry all day. I am a shadow and feel nothing and I left her because I loved her. So I died, by my own hands, maybe soon, she will understand. I never deserved her, she deserved more, so I showed myself to the leaving door. Inside the darkness had begun to call, step over the edge and start to fall. Bereft of life, she found my shell, screamed at me from the depths of Hell. Tears streamed in gushing torrent expressing a grief I did not warrant. So in the ether I pen this note, words can no longer leave my throat. I left my love to set her free, I couldn't keep her bound to me. And whilst she gazes at my picture on the shelf, may the Universe bless her not to blame herself. © Pagan Paul (18/08/17)

I don't like mustaches and you remembered You kept it till last December When you knew you'd see me one last time You dropped out of highschool for an extra dime My friends say you're not good for me And I understand A dropout and the girl with the principal as her biggest fan But I live for the moments we have together From Subway dates to running home in bad weather My friends don't get how happy I am How I understand that you aren't a good guy, but not a bad man You have a warrant out for your arrest But I sometimes fail my tests We all have our bad things, we regret and don't flaunt But you are not one of mine, and I'm of yours I hope not A bad analogy I understand, but take a moment to see what you can He's a sweetheart and a charmer for sure But he loves me for me and that's pure I dont get guys like that much if at all these days And I know he means good intentions in all of his ways As bad as they may be And my friends remind me We mustn't judge a book from the cover Simple as can be
