I told myself i didn't want to write about you anymore
But i cant lie, you've shook me to my core
You'll look deep in my eyes
And then your mouth will spit even more lies
I try to run away from you
We both know, you'll just leave me broken and blue
I try so hard to disconnect
It feels like i haven't slept
Don't pretend to love me
We both know, we could be meant to be.

we were like a switchblade
sometimes a smooth surface
with pain on the inside
sharp edges hidden away

but we flicked out sometimes
taking it all out on the world
nothing deserves to feel the kiss
of our mind's rusty blades

She would hold us by the tips
polishing away the old blood
and revealing a dull blade
that never wanted to hurt anyone

I've been through raindrops and rainbows
Happiness and sorrows
Keeping you and letting you go
Yet, what remains is that I love you.

The ice crunched beneath our feet
As we trailed towards the sea,
Cold air infused with salty tales
Of fisherman that sank long before we.

The boat skipped fast blue waves,
Suddenly my head hit the floor,
I smelled blood, mine and fish alike,
Smiling into the great expanse of sky.

And I saw the wave, long before you did
But you held my hand, and I squeezed back,
For this was our place, in this tiny boat,
The water high above, splashed into lungs.

Even deep in ocean, and after the storm
Glued, even in the most tragic death,
The strongest ones couldn’t pry you off
As our grave was lowered into the earth.
