i've been watching you.
i know you know im there.
i've heard about your little jokes.
i see him sitting where i used to sit
walking with you
where i used to belong
talking to you
like he knows you at all.

maybe he does
maybe i never knew you
not the real you

because the you i thought i knew
the you i loved

would not have done this to me.
im sorry
Like dancers they move, elegant and pure
Around and around, their heat radiate
A native point shared, their future unsure
Locked face - reaching embrace - they concentrate.

Like wrestlers they wait and intimidate
Approaching each other, anger stirs
A path for both, unsure of which to take
LockedĀ arms - contorted face - their anger spurs.

Like two armies they command and conquer
Deep, strong emotions; of deceit and hate
The cuts run deep spilling blood and water
They scream, ready to strike. Neither are safe.

Emotions are spilled, opened are the gates.
Weapons of speech, of dreams that were failures
No life was spared, no attacks went astray
Nothing remained, only memories saved.

Some days I'm the dragon,
Others I'm the knight.
But most days I'm the peasant girl in the darkness searching for light.

-t.s.
I kept chasing
you, as if
you were
a distant dream.
But dreams
are not always
dreams.
Sometimes, we have
nightmares too.
When did those dreams turned into nightmares? When did I stop believing in the magic of dreams?
Orange-Juice
tastes nice:
sweet,
hydrating,
with tiny nourishing pips
which squish on my tongue
as I swallow.

To you, the ground beneath my feet
Every step I take,
you support me.

You stand with me,
in my times of trouble

I am warmed by your embrace,
as I become entranced in your outfit of lace.

Nothing could be more finely crafted,
than my connection with you.

The ages may wear on you,
yet you remain the only one
my sole longs for.

For you truly are...
My favorite pair of shoes.
Cherries and poppies
raspberries and strawberries
and fallen red leaves,
a burning memory.
