Once in my life I have shown my face
Then regretted afterwards.
I trusted.
I failed.
And promised I won’t be the same.

Once in my life I have worn my veil
That covers my facade
I pretended
I hid
And I became contented being a shadow.

Once in my life I lost my strength
And learned how to become weak.
But I heard my inner voice
I saw myself in the mirror
And I was awakened.

Once again, I am going to show my face
I want to try
I want to believe
That I’ll be in peace without my veil
Once more...
Unveiling myself...

Our love can not exist.
      Echo's final plight.
           Ero's arrow askew.

Come find me beyond the
clouds.
I'll wait among the whispering
veils,
      among the weeping
willows.
i wait for you at the breaking of
dawn.
Heike Borgard May 2014
between sunset and dawn
at the edge of time
near the fountain, in a crystal garden
that's where you will find me

we will dance in the moonlight
to the sound of frozen stars
and if our souls will happen to meet
I will lift my veil

when you awake I'll be gone
you won't find me twice
but memories of pearls and shells
engraved in your heart

The silent screams of forgotten souls
The poor things tethered to their worldly regrets
Are what haunt me in the dead of night
Pale ghosts glide before my eyes
Their images distorted by the veil between our worlds
They gather where their lives have ended
Pining for the times when they were alive
Or filled with a need for vengeance
Just the same, unsatiated
