There exist a path
A path that you cannot walk
But a path where you can only climb

They call that path the Tower
Everything you can find
name it! fame, glory, wealth or power

This tower you cannot climb alone
Because at some point you'll need a stepping stone
this stepping stone is called a friend
It requires not just a simple friend
But a friend who will love you until the end

push them down
and pile them up
they're your stairs
to climb up

step on them
never look back
because if you do
regret may get you stuck
till you can climb up

and at the top
don't ever look back
because then you'll realize
everything you lack
that the life at the top
does ****
I am recently enchanted with this webtoon called tower of god so I decided to write a couple of poems inspired by it. ToG-Tower of God

I was on top of the mountain.
My feet weren't stable any longer.
The climb was long and painful
And was far from rewarding when I reached the top,
And saw there was nothing there.

My heart felt heavy and my head was spinning.
No oxygen was getting up to my head at the peak.
I needed to get down.
I needed to get to safety.
I needed to step back.
People are there to catch me, but I was afraid.
Falling was never the problem.
The weightless feeling always brought me peace.
It was if I ever hit the ground, was what truly worried me.

Falling never hurt, but landing did.
Up here at the top of the world, I stare into the horizon.
a building under construction in plain view.

Next to me,
A homeless man throws an empty bottle at some hard hats.
Screaming nonsense at them like he owns them.

Beside him,
A dog prances around, stopping only to **** on the brown grass.
covering up the **** that was left by some other dog earlier on.

the sun sets.
a film student points and clicks his camera at his model.
The model stares longingly into the horizon

At night,
Rebels, stumble out of the wilderness giggling and coughing.
smelling like skunk and sweat.
Almost stumbleing off the rocks.

I sit alone at the top of the world,
Trying to find my own way to escape.

I stand up and walk to the end of the cliff.
I scream nonsense at the black, but nobody hears me.
I ******* the precipice; but nothing is covered up.
I stare gloomily off into the horizon, but all I see is the building under construction.
I inhale smoke, but I don't feel any different.

I can't escape like the homeless man does,
or the dog, or the film student, or the rebel. they found their ways and Those ways belong to them.

I need to find my own way to escape. My top of the world.
a poem I wrote while sitting at the top of munjoy hill.

Picked up and spun
a granite glass balancing act
so much energy within to start
yet so serene
groove, a path
crumb, a stumble

watch out for the napkin

momentum is time and it's only leaving

I said I love that black sando
You said it's tank top
Whatever it is, sweetheart
I just want you to know
You are always adorable to me
Whether you wear black or white
It is not the outside that I see
But your golden heart inside
So when I say I love that tank top
I want to hug and kiss it
I actually mean I love you
I want to hug and kiss you
The way you hug and kiss me
*Since you took my heart
I will always remember their story. :)

Among the twinkling stars
In whispering of air
During uncontrolled tides of oceanic deep waters
In darkness of nights
In narrow mountainous passes
In the dark deep forests
In the beauty of vast deserts
At the oceanic shores of continents
During wandering about the heights of this world
At the top of the Mount Everest
At the depth of Pacific Ocean
I searched you everywhere
But I found you smiling in the core of my heart
In the concert of chirping birds
During the blossoming of roses
With the spread of fascinating smell
And spring was prevailing everywhere

with me trying to fall asleep
melatonin completely absent from my veins
voices blur in messy paintings
(Goya total sense does make
compared to cinnamon gum
washing
the bitter sweet taste of someone away)
sirens scream too loudly
mesmerizing half of me
slowly spinning
                  spinning
(little me with a top on the porch in the summer sun)
except there's no sun
and this spinning cannot be stopped
life
too tangible now
and I suddenly need
cinnamon gum again.
well...we're all spinning right?

Always on your mind
no matter where you are
your mistakes are always with you
never forgotten
lingering in the back of your mind
reminders of failure

Have relied on Top Ramen

I have even indulged
And enjoyed Top Ramen

Dashing hither, dashing thither,
Dashing in the winter weather,
John the dashing haberdasher
Dashed a hat upon his head

Not some lace cap fit for ladies,
Nor a bonnet stitched for babies,
John the dashing haberdasher
Dashed a top hat there instead!

Never had a hat so fine,
So tall and silken, so refined,
Regaled upon the daily grind
Of prince or pauper in the Strand

Ladies stalled to see it's lustre,
Swooned and swayed before it's bluster,
Fell and fainted in a fluster,
Startled by a hat so grand!

Children screamed in dreadful fright
And yelping dogs began to bite
As crowds began to brawl and fight
And riots claimed the London street

In the chaos thus ensuing,
Folks began to run, pursuing
John the dashing haberdasher
Chasing him from Strand to Fleet!

John was taken to the prison,
Chided by the crowds derision,
There to wait the Mayor's decision
On his wanton heinous crime

Charged with breaching lawful peace,
He paid a fine for his release
And ordered to desist and cease,
He left his top hat well behind

Thus is told the tale of John
Who dared to bravely dash and don
A silken top hat high upon
His noble head in London town

Heed his tale and take this warning,
When you wake one winter morning
With desire to be less boring,
Careful how you dress that crown!
Poem based on an event that occurred this day in history.
John Hetherington, a London haberdasher, is reported to be the first person to wear a top hat, this event occurring on the 15th January 1797.  The event caused a riot with women fainting at the sight, children screaming and dogs yelping.  He was forced to pay a £500 bond for breach of the peace.
