Thunder breaks open.
Through the gap,an insane rain;
Killing in cold flood.
Joana Silva Oct 2018
A party under a dark sky,
Heavy rain and thunder.
People with childlike hearts
And at the same time
With the strength of great warriors,
And muddy bare feet.
From afar
It might have seemed they were only
A bunch of people dancing,
But what was happening was much more than that...
They were wolfs
Howling to the dark moon,
Chants of freedom,
Like there was no tomorrow,
Like yesterday never existed...
Truly free,
Truly fearless,
Truly naked of past and future.
That moment belonged to all of them,
And they belonged to that moment...
It didn't matter what the future would bring,
What the past gave them or took away...
That moment was all they had,
When their paths crossed once again
In that healing land.

So many different lifes
That would come together once in a while
And it didn't matter what was behind
Or ahead:
When they were together
There was a feeling of oneness.

The fire pit was never lit that night.
Instead, the fire was shining and burning
In their bodies,
In their hearts.
There was music...
The thunderstorm playing drums,
The rustling leaves,
The sea song, just around the corner.
There were games of shadows,
Souls pouring the light and the darkness
Into those sacred grounds.
Those people were growing
(not only getting older)
At the sound of every beat,
With every step,
With each breath
(even if they didn't realize at the time).

Those moments were made of many things
Not only of rain and dark forest corners...
But every time there was a storm
The same thing would happen in the end:
The rain would stop
And the sun would rise.

I find myself wanting to cause you pain.
Every time that feeling rises up,
My scouring stick packs it down tight.
I can’t, after all lash out.
It’s the high road or nothing,
If only to prove I’m better then you.
But eventually after they’re aimed true,
The cry for “All cannons open fire!” will ring out.
And I will bring thunder down upon you.
Just feeling angry over all today I guess.

All these thunderclaps
Yet all I applaud for is you

All these floodwaters
And my overflowing emotions

All these rain noises
Yet all I hear is your name

Blinding flashes of lightning
Deafening claps of thunder
Unflinching, mushrooms sprout in my backyard

Silence
The anguished aching
deep
Inside my soul

Rest
The breaking blows
Hiding
Within my heart

Cease
The rolling thunder
Echoing
Throughout my brain

Leave
My heavy heart
And
Let me be.

I don't want a shoulder to cry on anymore.
I want to tie my shoes and sprint forward, bounding, leaping towards my goals.
I will make every step with confidence.
I will run straight through every wall, every obstacle, every barrier set in my path.
Nothing will stop me, cause I am the Storm.
And with the speed of lightning and the raging boom of thunder, I won't be stopped.
Gemma Davies Sep 2018
I see a flash of lightning,
Sounds of clouds humming.
I hear a boom of thunder,
Another storm is coming.

The rain hits the windows,
The puddles begin to form.
Clouds are getting darker,
But it's just another storm.

The sky is painted black,
The clouds move and swarm.
Raindrops smash the ground,
But it's just another storm.

The booms of thunder fade,
The black clouds turn grey.
It's all coming to an end,
The storm is fading away.

Storms will come and go,
Some big and some small.
You're brave, you're strong,
You can face them all.
