Oh, young sunflower!
facing east towards the Sun.
You follow her for hours,
till dusk when day's done.
Her light shines bright;
colors -- vivid and deep.
But when her light ebbs
do you droop and weep?

I am the sunflower that
grows in your garden,
and worships you like the sun
luciana Jun 2020
she's a growing sunflower
what will you bring?
fire or water
over time we come across people that either damage us or help us grow.
damage may be the wrong word for some, but you get the idea

Every summer afternoon I sit in my porch,
And admire the most exquisite view,
Sun rays embracing the sunflowers,
Loving them in a way no one ever cares to do.

I don’t care if you like roses.
He’s a f*cking sunflower.
Shower him with light,
love him.
For he is a king set for the sun.

Eluding the tunnel,
I adored the sunshine, above the yellow sunflowers

                           Which later blinded me!
A little too much is harmful guyzzzz!

Sunflower and daisies
Got me all hooked
We were never supposed to happen
But then you ambushed.
Ashlyn May 2020
she is sunshine
with freckles like a sunflower,
and eyes like leaves,
sweetening my day like sugar.
she keeps me growing.
like a plant...
something like that
Pyrrha May 2020
I bought sunflower seeds and planted them in a little *** on my window sill
I watered and tended to the leaves everyday
Every time the leaves seemed sick or browning
I had to hold back tears as I cut away the rot
Is it weak or dumb of me that I cried?
Like witchcraft I cared for that flower as if it were our love
As the leaves would rot so too did our hearts
As the petals fell so too did your love for me
And in every falling petal
Every cut leaf
Every inch of that flower
I felt you grow farther and farther out of reach from me
