Clinking of ink bottles
Scratching of quills
Rustling of paper
Pouring out knowledge

Sweating students
Angry teachers
Swatting of fleas
No more patience

Old mad bat suddenly
Shouting
"Bring me the earmuffs!!"
Laughing, crying, farting

Interupting the quiteness
"Why would you ask that?"
Principal Harpy asks
"Surely it isn't winter"

"Goodness me, have I said that out aloud?"
"I take it back!"
"Kindly continue with your exams"
But no matter, nothing was the same.

**** the fakes,
like for goodness sake.
we're forced into a prison with
plastic dolls, who always go to the mall and fall for the sport guys who are as tall as the skies. //

forget about,
the girls who destroyed your world.
i doubt, i doubt, that they actually care. look at them as they flip they hair, talking about you 24/7; then smiling at you the next day asking if you were okay, as if they cared.//

ignore the,
teachers who continue to bring you down, and laugh as they watch you frown in the bleachers. instead smirk at them, and be a goal achiever, become sucessful and laugh quietly as you see shock come upon their faces.//

prove to them how strong you are,**
show them that you're as bright as a star
be yourself, read books from bookshelves, do whatever. but don't become a fake, or a doubter or a gossiper, always be true, and be you.//
i was in school and came up with this, not all of this applies to me; but it may be what someone is going through. <3

So I say, it's wonderful; definitely wonderful that we have ambitious
generous teachers who cares for us

                     who?

I mean they will drop their personal matters for sake of us
Respect them, they are the heroes
I call them christ, they allow their powers to care

                      and

put their future in hazards
Who do you think can live his or her family matters for you?
The one with a pile of expenses?
The one with a number of cars?

Either the one with a double storey house?
Give them the blessings,
care as they care
they must be motivated incentives

The future of our society relies on their sacrifices
Education can cure all pandemics together with social problems
Be available, they are there for you
and the future is yours.

I want to run, but here I stand.
I began to fall, but on my feet I land.
I stand my ground.
Look around.
Here they scream out loud.
The names they shout out.
***, loner, weak.
Friendless, ****, meek.
Dead, ****.
Never to be liked.
Should I listen
Possibly dismiss them.
The words may burn.
At night I may toss and turn.
Sleepless
Empty and dreamless.
I never want to be called a victim.
Maybe just a symptom.
One of being me.
So judgemental they have to be.
Why do they have to hurt me til I die?
Why do they spit their words til I cry.
I don't have to care.
I can pretend they aren't there.
That's what my mom says to do.
I told her I am me not you.
It's not the easiest thing.
Hearing other human beings.
Beating you down.
When everyone's around.
Watching your best friend.
Say our love was all pretend.
Well it's alright.
I'm okay for atleast another long hate filled day.
Bullying is never okay. It makes the people involved not okay. It matters what words say.

I stand before my classroom
on the first day--
it is Research Methods
a course that I am forced to take
but I am assured it is for the best
even on the first day
I am told that you can use
this course for everything.

But I don't know who
they are trying to convince,
is it me that the course has meaning
or themselves that they are worth something,
because if it's the 2nd
then the professor probably shouldn't
call on me to answer the question.

In my mind the redundancy
is a wax wrapper
to a lollipop that
I don't understand why I need it
as it was already wrapped in paper
and now I struggle
to find purpose for
a flimsy piece of plastic-wax
that I can hardly even see.

Rotating my head around
as if a person waiting in a traffic accident
and wondering if I can see the body
from where I am sitting--
luckily this is a class room
and every body here is
part of collision that they
never intended on having.

The drought of thought
that I see spilling across the class room
and the formality of facing forward
while actually daydreaming
is sadly part of this necessary course--
where pencil stained desk
are the only things worth
drawing my attention.

It's our special day
this is only the first meeting
and instead of being here 3 hours
we get to leave here in 1--
now everyone realizes
this traffic will last longer
than originally told
so maybe it's better
to get outside and walk.
A very flawed system.

One little
Two little
Three little students
Running home from school.
Four little
Five little
Six little students
Not paying attention to rules.
Seven little
Eight little
Nine little students
They're playing on the street.
Let's make sure
Our little students
Have a safe summer break.
Oh, and by the way,
All ten little students
Made it home today.
Let's make sure we all drive with extra caution today and all summer.

I have yet to see freedom
In classrooms where
Checkmarks win over the students
Birdy To Be Free May 2015
Sitting in the schoolbench
alone in  this room
filled with familiar unfamiliar faces
Never talking
always noise
always watching very close
listening to these speeches
Bleeding my arms

insanity lies in the corner of this room
and it crawls closer to me

tick... tick.. tick..

seconds aren't what they seem
hours aren't real
time is a illusion in this room

Only the ritual

pen on papper
writing numbers
writing letters that don't make words
No drawings
No poems
Yes sir
No madam

tick... tick... tick

Over and over again
bell goes
new place
same ritual
numbers
letters
no creativity
is seen in here

alone I sit
with my clasmates
doing the same ritual
that they call fun
what they call

**School
I'm there right now
twitching and shaking

get me out of here...
please...

Studying, hear them?
Students dying.
Losing more than the gained knowledge.

Madness, coming
quicker than light.
horrid torrents of things to learn fast.

Lectures, pointless.
No actual skill.
Where's x and why for the speed limit.

Teachers, idle.
Just talk and talk
and talk and talk and talk and talk.

Students, worried
of what to do next.
They learned nothing since school system *****.

Grades, so cruel
but merely so little.
A way too important letter or number.

Lesson, learned.
If you want to die.
Do the student's way. Stu-Dying.
How many students out there relate, I wonder.

May you remember to stand up straight
May your spines be flagpoles
Sailing your heart at full mast
The caps in your knees full of steel
Unstoppable in your travels of Alaskan tundra

Let your mind grow roots in your culture
May your hunger for knowledge
Be that of a (amaguq) wolf
Never give up on yourselves
For I will never give up on you
Teaching in a classroom full of Inupaiq eskimo children. You can never understand a culture until you are immersed into it. These kids are teaching me each and every day.
