It's truly
a
chaotic
thing
to
suddenly
see

starlight,
heaven,
and
everything

in someone's eyes
Brianna Duffin Dec 2017
She glimmered in so many ways,
And she hid no part of herself.

She motivated a hundred men to come running,
And she sent them running right back home.

She created a raw art form out of her being,
And she powered it with her energy.

She developed herself in a constant determination to grow,
And made it her mission to spread this change.

She dreamed up a world all her own in her mind’s eye,
And built it to reality with her own bare hands.

She blossomed from the lap of pure luxury,
And redefined everything about it.

She may have been built from diamonds, but there was more to her!
She had been fashioned from saturated starlight.

Treasure all these moments
Simply let them bloom and grow
Loose them into starlight where
Our love so freely flows

Heaven’s River flows
stardrops rain down through the night
***** out the candle
This marks the next phase of a journey to understand Haiku better.
Hopefully, I can improve on this eventually.

Deep inside these dreams
Where your magic fills the air
Peering through the night
I’m watching you spin starlight
Into visions of delight
Tori Schall Sep 2017
Staring at the horizon
the sunlight drifts away
like a breeze blowing a cloud
far, far away

As darkness comes out to play
like snow on a winter day
the tendrils of shadow beckon to me
with starlight in the sky; clear to see

I take a hesitant step ahead
not knowing where to go
the shadows drift around me
as my voice is lost in the echo

A haze sets in
an icy winds' grasp
tendrils of shadow and mist mix
creating a yin yang balance at last

The beauty of the night is strong
there are no words to describe it
for when I say these words to you
Only you can hope to imagine it

Burning bridges,
and reaping our sorrow,
The fight through the night,
is for a better tomorrow.
this is an old poem of mine. Hope you like it!
I wish to fire
All planets I can reach,
Do even stars can tell what happens,
When universe is glitched?

Is matter fading?
Like me - fade in the dusts,
Seems like I've lost my spotless mind
In self-destruction rust.

My eyes are staring,
The silver rain shall pass,
The darker skies will open all its beauty -
This vision shall be last.

World is on fire -
I'm watching oceans burn,
The darker skies once radiant,
Mountains collapsed in storm.

And now I'm dying -
My scared mind's only thought,
But when I'm staring up at heavens,
I see - the thuth is far beyond.

Beyond bright starlight,
And cosmic coldest lights away,
If i could look behind the blinding suns,
I'd clearly see its cruel sway.

We build our bridges of starlight
only burnt down by the blazing sun.
But we've just transgressed to night,
where owl wings have come undone.

The rat scuttles past the forest floor,
leaves crunching in their path like the fall,
as some people leave open doors,
when they have no one else to call.

The owl swoops in to take its meal
on four, short weak  legs.
The shadows across her window
shows the two dropping into her bed.

The owl took its meal and ate;
his stomach was now full.
The man had what he wanted to take.
He left a feeling so cold and cruel.

Burning bridges isn't fun
if they can only be seen at night.
They can only be burnt by the sun,
and these were bridges of starlight.
I hope you guys like this poem. It's my first one on this website.

Caught in the starlight
Moonlight dances and shimmers
Moths whirl in the night
