Have you met your cousin
Betelguese?
She said Hi, the way stars do
Bearing brightly burning light

What about the pulsars
Spinning ballerinas
Of the far end of space?
They're your cousins too

Saturn would like to chat
With you
Missing your warm hug
He tries to hug himself

Yes they are all our relatives
Didn't you know
We are all sons of the deathless
Isn't it nice to be so?

The emptiness inside his chest
It felt like a vacuum
Like everything would be forced to fall towards it,
in an attempt to fill the void.

And indeed the emptiness,
the vacuum
****** in everything
in an attempt to disappear.

It ****** in the world around him
Until it collapsed under its weight
into a black hole,
until he couldn't carry the weight of the world anymore
and collapsed under the weight.

It ****** in his soul,
until he disappeared.

The emptiness inside his chest,
It was so consuming,
so heavy,
so full,
It left no space to breathe.
Emptiness is basically the opposite of what it implies.

Life is moving at a different pace
Physically I'm here
Mentally I'm in a different place
A place where everything makes sense
A place where there's no rules to bend
A place where I feel safe
-
Lately I've been in a different space
Lost in my thoughts
I don't want to be traced
Because outside
Outside
All the bad things are waiting to take place
Things that I'm not ready to face
But inside
Inside
I feel safe
You left me alone
But I found my happy place

Seems unreal
And abstract
A string of zeros
That exists in some
Strange place
Of its own

I've had my time in bars.            Rather,
Parked out back in cars.  Chasing
Dragons through the stars. Destination
Far from Mars.      Cross eyed
Painless fearless heart.                       Cut

                 frame

Welcome, here we are.    Presently
Manifesting Arden far.              Dancing
Feasting ******* hard.  Creating
Broken blemished hearts.     Tarnished
Famished far flung stars.

Tarnished famished far flung stars.

Will you let me read your mind?
Enter into your space-dust thoughts
Nebula’s sprinkled eyes fixated
Dragging onto my galaxy twisted heart
Years spent orbiting the moon -  back to you.

Venus wiped Saturn's
Tears, told her it will be fine
Jupiter called Earth
And Mercury to dinner.
A comet humbly
Passed to warm the hearts of all
The sun slept with calm
Orion. Who would have known
That the stars would join tonight?
The solar system is a family

flew off to see
what the galaxy had for me
sailed away on this black sea
losing more and more gravity

i felt it in my stomach
when blue faded to black
the aliens assured me i’d love it
cold press of knife in my back

there’s madness here
playing in the emptiness
and i’ve got nothing to hear
but its sweet consonance

spent my life on a moonbeam
but it’s getting lonely
i want to believe in beauty
below the stars

Feeling the moment slip away
Losing direction out here in space
Trying to find myself
Tracing a path from the sun’s rays
Across the stars to that one place
Beyond the moon that bares your face
Out past the field where asteroids play
Carried out of the Milky Way

Into the void my journey takes
Through the holes carved out of endless space
Spiraling around for what feels like days
Suddenly, light illuminates my face

Flashes of life create this wave
That carries me back from whence I came
Back on Earth
Don’t feel the same
The stars out there call my name

I can hear them say
A journey through life is built on pain
Even the brightest of us lose our flame
When we are weak, we do not pretend
We burn out
So to shine again
Sometimes we need to be lost, so that me may find ourselves.
