Hand in hand,
dancing in the snow
where time doesn't matter.
And even though we
remain in the darkest corner
upon the darkest shelf
of this antique shop,
we have found each other-
may this moment last forever.

It is snowing in Alaska
That might sound obvious
Since we're halfway through November
But its only really snowed once
Our state should be covered in flour
Like pie dough or potato bread
Instead we have a light sprinkling
Of dandruff on our northern head

our patterend steps have been
evenly paced
but sometimes i miss
a few, just so our hands won’t
graze
— a metronome
back and forth.

though I’d still steal
a glance from it: soft
fingers on keys, light wrist
on the right beat,
slender
palms fit
in my sweater sleeve.

wondering, how
quickly it can
thaw the frost in mine;
and before my boiling belly
boil over
surrendering the
mistletoe nose;

how many are missing the same warmth I have yet to hold.
so much warmth in for the last days of autumn.
it’s my favorite season despite not experiencing it in my country.
i guess we can really miss the things that was never ours— or not yet, at least.

‘Tis a lonely place to walk alone.
The trees are bare that winds have combed...

The bitter cold that numbs the skin.
An effigy of the pain within...

Snow has fallen tears have bled.
Frozen in time within one's head...

Heavy the soul and foot doth part.
Until the spring can warm one's heart...
