I admit that every look that you give him
makes me feel like I'm alone in this blizzard night.

I want to hold you
and kiss every inch of your face
so I could show the world
that this night is mine
and this girl beside me is always going to be mine.

Words I wish I wanted to say
turns out just to be the smoke from my mouth that was caused by this lonely snow.

I won't let you go,
so I list out what I want so that you would be under the tree
when I wake up;
Hold you close and we'll stay under the mistletoe forever because today,
I'm going to make you my girl and my favourite present ever in the world.
Christmas time!

there is a calmness at the top of a mountain–
the sweet sugar dew doesn’t
in of itself have a taste but somehow
the temperature makes it seem that way

there is a ruby mixture in the coldness
of the winter
on the snow
on the silver
cutting through a violent white

but i pretend it’s ink. i tell
you it’s ink so you don’t
ask any more questions

just look at me, dear
look at the folds in my
fingertips and know that
i am real

i am skin and bone
flesh and blood
fire and water
i am whatever
you need me to be
my friend told me to write a poem using the words "ruby, skin, and ink".
The white
blowing cold
bold and frozen
snowflakes a million a dozen
gifts sing carols
merry a glory
lights draped
for decorations
to sparkle our spirits

Off this deck there are no splendid vistas to see.
Gray and marbled trees lean and weather
Rooted in the ground, entangled, rigid,
They appear imperturbable.
The earth sleeps under a veil of snow.

A hawk ensconces on a barren tree limb,
Catching the warmth of the sun, unmoving
As stone and stoic, in a blanket of cold,
The snow-covered yard seems to undulate
Below its menacing black silhouette.

A dog trots by like a miss-casted
Jackal hunting on a snow Savannah.
The path is bleak as a bleached desert.
A lone woodpecker hammers a fallen tree.
The wooden deck stays unmoved, quiet, steady

Along with its snow-covered assemblage
Of strewn chairs, square ricks, clay pots and wind chimes
Resting silent. Encircling me the air moves
And chatters in a vague idiom.
I listen as the passing moments arise and pass without hesitation.

Later on, the sky will be heavy with snow.
A grim night for star-gazers and hunters.
Even the tree trunks crackle from the cold.
I wished to see the hawk catch its quarry
But instead, watched it fly at dusk,

Slow, solemn, an apotheosis of nature,
Survivor of bleak winters, taut sinew and bone
Covered in a feathery jacket.
The morrow will see it back again and
This snowscape will flicker like a candle.

A time where there is snow,
where santa goes ** ** **.
Many died in frost,
homeless,
enveloped under sheets of snow.
Goodbye world.
And here I am forever alone.

The snow is falling
Lights Shining
All the colors so bright
Smell of peppermint candy canes
And warm hot chocolate
But all I need is the warmth of family
Who needs the Christmas light?
Or gifts under a green tree
When we have us here
Together
Family forever
We shall remain together

Gently, feathers floating high
From wings of
White doves as they fly
Solemn, silent as a sigh
Floes & snow banks by & by...

Six sided crystals, different all
None are perfect as they fall
Frozen, they heed nature's call
In human hands can be a ball
To throw as children, we'll recall...

The built up forts & furious fights!
It's a time to bundle tight!
We're all artists at the sight
Of flakes falling, defused light
On parts of earth it's endless night.

During storms it'll cut & slice
On the roads can become ice
Please,  just listen to advice
Stay inside where it is nice!

Snow. The Queen of legend... lore!
There's SO much she has in store
The winter's scepter in the tors
It in the valley, desert floors
When heaven opens up it's doors
When the wind rips & roars
When it sprinkles then it pours...

It fascinates forevermore!

the sky is golden blue
your cheeks a pinkish hue
walking through the snowy woods
all i want right here with you
time is slow
your hand in mine
falling snow
clouds align
the softest kiss
upon my nose
arms around you
wind softly blows
it's cold
but i can't tell
deep i my heart
my love will dwell
boots are crunching
soft white snow
i love you more
than you will know
