I wanna take you higher
Higher!
C'mon light my fire
Want to take you higher
Sly and family stone lyrics
Viseract Jan 2016
A lustrous orb, both dark and bright,
Rimmed with hazel lies the night
A clear-glazed look, yet shimmer slight
Does not affect the gaze so bright

The inner does grow in the dark
And yet in this night there lies a spark
A small glimmer, almost impossible to see
Yet when passion burns, this light goes free

All is hinted, however sly,
There lies a mystery about the eye

My philosophy has always been simple:
Don’t ask
Don’t tell.

I am the expert at lying
by omission.
No,
not lying exactly,
but
wouldn’t you agree
that what you don’t know
can’t hurt you?

Don’t worry about me,
I’m Fine,
always fine.
I can handle myself,
I always have.

Feelings?
I don’t know what you are talking about,
I am a robot,
feelings simply don’t
compute.
You’re knocking at the wrong door.
I have nothing to tell you,
[not anymore.]

Look a bird!
I can manipulate any conversation
away from me,
just by distraction.
The trick is to let people
talk and talk and talk and
forget,
so I can check out.

No one knows the difference,
and I am called a good listener
for doing nothing.
No harm done.
All anyone needs is a blank slate
to talk at.
I can fill that role.

Honesty?
Don’t talk to me about honesty,
what good does it do?
Why should I be honest?
It’s no one’s business anyway.

My philosophy has always been simple:
Don’t ask,
Don’t tell.
Inspired by the tarot card from the Tarot of the Ages deck, some of the words I used from the manual are in the tags

I am the sly fox
Sacred and misleading

My spirit,
You worship
A treasured diety

Beautiful, though I am
I am horrible within
Tread carefully
Treat me with care
Or ignore me, if you so dare

I am the sly fox
Colorful and cruel
Loyal, though I am
Don't ever take me for a fool

My spirit
Is in the air
I can hear you
Anywhere
Don't underestimate
A wild fox
That can't be tamed

We are born to destroy
For, destruction flows through
Our veins

Be ever wary
Stay alert
Keep your voices
Hushed and unheard
The sly fox
Is on the loose
And knows of no boundary

The heartbroken always become the heartbreakers. If you don't agree, spend the night with me.

I dare you not to love me
Well, at least to try
Don't fall for my quirky personality
Or sly smile
Or the way my eyes light up
When presented with an open flame
Don't become enchanted
With the way I can still see the world
As a beautiful place
Full of so much mystery
That I treat every day as a surprise
Like a small child ready for adventure
Don't listen to me
Ramble on about my passions
And unique opinions that
Beg to differ with the norm
And do not applaud me
For knowing that I'm beautiful
In a world set on making people
Believe that they're ugly
I dare you to look at me
Split open
My thoughts
Beliefs
Experiences
Spilling out
Everything that I am right in front of you
And not fall in love
Because I believe that anyone can fall in love
When they see the parts of someone
That no one else gets to see
And when you love me
I dare you to open up
And let me love you

WHAT AM I DOING
rhyming is hard
just like rhubarb
pie
sly pie
why are you sly, pie?
the frog is on a log
with the hard rhubarb pie
I’M SO NOT DIGGING THIS
i kind of just want to fling
myself off a bridge
this is really hard
lard
there is NO POINT TO THIS “POEM”
NO WORDS RHYME WITH POEM
have you ever noticed how teenagers are SO ******* SAD
TEENAGERS ARE SO SAD
THEY ARE SO SAD
AND FOR WHAT
SAD BECAUSE YOU WERE CALLED A ****
ITS SO HARSH BUT ITS TRUE
PUSH YOUR BACK AGAINST THE WALL AND BE BLUE
IF YOU CHOOSE

nope not happening
down to the important stuff

trying your luck // the strokes
old yellow bricks // arctic monkeys
electric feel // mgmt
alone, together // the strokes
stray away // the colourist
games // the strokes

SLY PIE
rhubarb pie

Why do i always mumble, i always do, even if i try not to.
I was thinking of how i mumble when i talk to you, and how i sounded last thursday when i asked you to go bowling, you said no[you had an okay excuse]
I am not worried if you like me, I am not worried if i mumbled because non of it matters.
The way you smiled and waved. you looked so happy to see me. your lips curved and your smile exposed your lies and your skills to tell the truth[may you use them wisely]
You asked me to go to the mall. I smiled and nodded, my voice cracked as you gave me butterflies.
Its now 3:00 on a saturday, you messaged me on thursday[it didnt  say the time]
I messaged you today and I'm waiting. I've been waiting. I'll wait, You will never reply.

Gestures always so polite
Doesn't seem right
Impurity and doubts
Falsely sweetened mouths

Good to the worst
No bitter words burst
No expression of offence
Nothing said in defence

So sweet, so easy going
So tolerant, so loving
No respect for self?
Left the heart on the shelf?

Observing the moves
Following the cue
Now I see you
You are one by two.

A brain so sly
Always telling a lie
Fooling honest souls
To reach your vicious goals

Talking ill behind ones back
Frankness you lack
I pity thy soul
It’s gone for a toll

Not brave, not true
A coward in you
I see you, I see you
Wouldn’t trust even one of you.
