The night has come
So the phase has shift
And in the moonlight
I feel myself drift
Out from my head
Deeper I go
Till I am out.

lay down
close your eyes
the world is quiet
your body so heavy with words
trapped,
heartless jabs as a gift from you to yourself,
aren't you tired
of hating what you are
stop fearing
what lies inside you
tomorrow will be brighter
so, sleep.
this is for the pple with brains who simply wont Stop, amen
Traveler Dec 2020
In my waking
The chaos sinks
I waist no time
To stop and think

The moment is now
I ponder my world
My deadlines
My children
My special girl

Pet my dogs
Sip my coffee
Hit a bowl
Write a poem

Work out
Play guitar
Walk in nature
Off I go
To bed alone

I’m going to get a job one of these days...
NOT!
The best time of thoughts
is when you bite your tongue
in your sleep and wake up realizing
it was in response
to the pain
you didn't want to
endure even in subconsciousness
I can't sleep at night anymore. I've realized that I've betrayed writing, my long lost companion.
Abner Ros Dec 2020
You're on watch, you cannot sleep.
Torpor looms as fingers twitch,
Stay up, stay alert
Now is your time.
You mustn't give in to fatigue.

Sterility encapsulates the ironically termed 'living' room,
With beeps and hisses battling for supremacy
In a growingly discordant manner.

Until the living interferes
And proclaims 'No more'.
No more shall rhythmic tunes stake their claim,
No more shall the room of white become stained
With the pain of a world unknown.
No more shall men of Earth be lulled by your faux swan song.

Though, sounds of 'life' carry on.
"You're on watch, you must now sleep"
Purrs a cloaked figure.
I lay my head down to the warmth of your naked chest,
The bedroom filled with moonlit twinkles,
My eyes begin to blink and fade into the nights parade,
One touch i feel, so gentle and surreal, a moment of harmony when you place the palm of your hand across my smooth cheeks and use your antagonising eyes to stare into me, trying to see the dreams and thoughts in my mind.
I wake up to your touch, and see your smile...how warm we are through this night filled with love and melodic sounds of music from the crickets outside singing aloud the window under our universe filled with stars.
Sleeping with you helps me feel calm.

Hazy street lamp light,
illuminating nocturnal spirits or otherwise
the ghost of a fire burning low,
all green tinder and ember,
its tender lain down
for the night.
This post is inspired by a glass of mediocre Cabernet Sauvignon...I don’t even drink reds
