Even if someone you hate says you're ugly,
it hurts.

Even if it was just an idea,
"wrong" hurts.

Even if that job was for extra money,
"under-qualified" hurts.

Even if that man didn't want you,
you'll still love him.

And that probably hurts the most.
It's okay to hurt, just know that someday these tears will make you a stronger person, a better person. -A.M.L.

No one wants me in their tomorrow
Even though I beg, steal and borrow
Still they would walk on without me
They only want to set me free
I try to make my darkness go away
I beg happiness to stay
I steal my tomorrows from my yesterdays
I borrow my feelings from my yesteryears
For today I'm only full of fears
No one wants me in their tomorrow
Even though I beg, steal and borrow

Foresee the dance of the drunk pen,
On a white forgotten page,
And as the Indian ink has left its charm,
Through poetic swords of faith.
No, she said, to the young heart,
A sad dilemma song,
Drunk with broken words,
He bleed the crusade all along.
The blood has been painted,
Over the pages of art laid thorns,
As number he grew, he faded
Into the delusional walks and pavement songs.
The floors were carpeted red,
Like a heartbreak prom in lights,
While I laid drunk with my thoughts,
Like the dark soul of Broadway nights.
The black colour embracing,
Sweet sadistic vines of hope,
In the illest of fate, my heart sings
Like a mysterious misanthrope.

If you remember how it felt
to dream of her at night, then you remember me -
The love you lost and couldn't keep.
The first time you looked into her eyes
and realized you were happy;
to the girl you thought you would marry.

Do you remember how it felt
to have her near, not yours to touch
Do you remember feeling everything so much?
Because first love is always an only.

If you remember how it felt to cry at night,
then you remember me.
You thought nothing could ever hurt you
that deeply. Your heart so brave and clumsy,
so sorry for itself. You belonged to someone else.

And yet look back and remember,
that girl made you less scared. You took risks
and you learned, and you grew,
and it hurt; it was the first -
the love you lost and couldn't forget.

The girl who went and changed
everything, the light of your world,
the love that made you believe
in heaven, 'cause she was an angel on earth

Though in the end she saw you
as nothing more than a friend,
you loved once, and you will love again.

And it is one I learned well, indeed. No matter how much of yourself you give.
No matter how much you bleed.
In the end, they believe whatever lie they want to believe about you.
They see only the worst, in spite of the fact that you only gave them your best.
And there’s nothing you can do or say to change another’s mind.
Ever

Back and Fourth I swing, my better sides hiding in the trenches of my mind.
My body is no mans land, caught between myself and I.
Violent vocabulary and assaulting alliteration load the barrels of my tongue.
This is self-protection, I'm burdened with armors against affection.
I spew sarcasm with venom, cold-blooded and serpentine.

You're the antidote and if I could I'd make you mine.

How should I begin?
Maybe with a question
But I just did
A first impression failed
An old demon that you saw behind my facade
I try,
I try to hide but those piercing eyes
Merely touched the surface of this one sided window of mine,
But I found that they shattered it
Cause when you have eyes the color of the ocean
The weight of the ocean,
tends to drown me
And as deep as I am,
the pitch black continues to consume
So I assume I should begin with the end because if I continue to sink you'll be the death of me
But they say you've never lived till you've almost died
And you've arisen an addiction of free falling
Or...
Falling on my face
Because that's the only way to get out of this haze
This high state where my brain has no sense of gravity
No sense of anything really
Because my sense of reality has become just a fallacy,
You're my mirage,
My wish upon a star,
Your a dream ,
Just as much as you are a nightmare
When I close my eyes and see that smile I can never tell when I should pinch myself
Awake
Or stay dreaming
Because a dream is a wish the heart makes I learned that watching princess movies hoping that I would be the guy that came in to save the day,
But it seems to me that I always end up being an ogre;
And Shrek was just a fairy tale,
they don't alway get the girl
And no matter how many onion layers i think i may have the scent will still make you cry
And honestly that's why you can never get close to me
But its ok cause I can only postpone the sown truth for so long
So how should I end?
How about,
I'm sorry?
Honestly rejection *****. But in this poem I think it's alittle more then that. This one is about fixing some of the things in your life before being able to move on.
This was written by alternating lines

No, I do not want to be your yes.
Nor I want to be your no no no.
None of the no. None of it.
None of your yeses going to change my no's
I told you no not yes.
You know no does not equal to yes.
If that happen then I would still never say yes.
No, I told you how many times no yes.

Yes, no.
Stop taking my no as yes

I see the future that I want,
I feel the desperation of mine,
I taste the bitterness of disappointment,
I smell my failure to come,
Last but not least, I hear myself being rejected...
