My lungs will not contract
For air does not exist
Within this dimension
Where I see my hands and wrists
My legs
My feet
But no-one else around me
Everything blurs
Maybe for the tears
Maybe for the lack of oxygen
I shake and quiver
Scream with no sound
For I cannot breathe

most people
word it as if
when you left you
took all the air
with you,
but darling
you were my oxygen
tank and my
lungs are
failing.

Oxy
On the moon there is no oxygen.
That’s where I’d like to be.
There is no wind, no rain, nobody.

On the moon, there are colors of all shapes and sizes.
And I think I’m hallucinating, but I’m only imagining.
As I float back down, I remember what it is to feel.

I don’t like it. I remember the moon.
Purple and blue and pink. I remember the feeling: nothing.
I don’t need oxygen.

I met this guy, and I told him about the moon.
I said, is there a way, how can I stay
Up there forever?

He said, I know you. I see you a lot.
He gave me magic beans, and said see me when you’re out.
Let me know how high you flew.

The magic beans did just the trick.
The moon was just the same.
And I thought,  I don’t need oxygen, this is just fine.

Someone said I could die without oxygen.
But I thought I’d die if I never got to see the moon again.
I quaked, I cracked, I cried. But they wouldn’t let me see the moon.

Someone told me I had to stop going to the moon
Or I would die.
But I don’t need oxygen, I said. This is what I breathe now.

Lies sprout on the edge of your lips
You do not know much, not much
But please don't feel what you feel
And
it's okay that they don't understand,
I tell you.

I am  very sorry I got you in trouble,
that I didn't get you out of anything.
Is this your own twisted way of saying goodbye
Or you're finding words to make me stay
that came out all wrong?

I see it's gonna end in misery
When you realize things you're not supposed to

You get that feeling in your stomach?
They are butterflies
with fire on their wings
yes, I set them on fire
When you claimed I'm the oxygen you breath in
Still it never crossed your mind
To leave me
There's some leftover gasoline
A few ashes too
          Inside my heart
From the last loser
Who tore me apart
                You could use that
To light a fire in my soul
               Just grab a match
     Make a tiny little spark
       Love me right
Brighten my heart
Keep my flame burning
   Treat my love
Like priceless art

*All you need to do
Is breathe oxygen in my vicinity
To keep it lit

I'm drowning in your moans
Every word that melts from your lips
Floods the room about us
Suffocating me into believing
That I would be satisfied
Spending my last moments
Staring into your eyes
Breathless

I've realized that like humans need oxygen
to live
i need you all the same.

and in the same way humans can be poised by to much oxygen.

to little of you
can be poisonous to me
and surely i
shall soon
die.

Trees hold the deep earth together way below with crooked fingers of the underworld and catches foul above
Upward to the heavens on finger towers,
clapping on winds they shake their dander
And the makers of green bras on mountain tops

They are the landlords of ground, and air beasts, and
incumbent giants of the ages
They whisper being puppeteered by winds of old
They are the alchemists of oxygen
They are dangling playgrounds
They are the Autumn crunches beneath our feet

Trunk etchings by bards, trees reflecting
cultures' dissemination
We walk under penumbras that deny the scorch of summer
as cool water douses fire, so too, shade douses heat

Watching trees in my pleasant reverie I observe how they
help break the carpeted land, bringing about a  certain diversity in moving tranquility and rustling of their songs
This poem was inspired by my poem "Ancient trees of Majesty" which catches rhymatic couplets

Can't breathe
Can't see
Can't Speak
I'm drowning
The harder I try the further down I fall
My air is running out
my lifelines are calling in a rain check when I need them the most
Everything around me is getting dark
Slowly getting darker and darker
All the words that I want to say get stuck in my through waiting to tumble out at any give moment
but stuck together
They'll never suspect a drowning
Accidental or intentional
I've been fighting for so long
With on one else on my side
beaten and worn
My oxygen levels are falling
Heart rate slowing
maybe then I'll find some peace of mind
Can't breathe
Can't see
Can't speak
Slowly drowning
just tired of it all
No one will ever suspect a drowning.
