The Wicca Man May 18
Again today
I went to bed as the sun rose.
The creeping blue-grey dawn
signalled to me
it was time to sleep.

My sleep does not come easily though
and many a night,
I sit through the dark hours
waiting for that dawn to come.

Should I worry that my sleep
comes only as dawn breaks?

I don’t mind;
the night holds no fear for me
in fact, I relish those dark hours,
the solitude,
when all is silent,
when all is calm.

And when I do sleep,
it is fitful and fraught,
just a few fretful hours
embellished by strange visions.

And on waking,
I am not always refreshed
but the days are long enough
for a few more hours
of fretful rest
before the sun sets
and I can again enjoy
the dark hours
in my solitude.
remember the feeling of falling,
before you enter the land of dreams?
i felt that in your presence,
not knowing what the future deems.

felt when I looked into your eyes,
and once our fingers intertwined.
we face an uncertain tomorrow,
with both our hearts aligned.

but no one can ever be prepared
to face dark, rainy nights,
when you've gotten used to sunny days,
and nights under bright city lights.

opened my eyes, realizing the fall.
head throbbing, but I'm awake.
was it a dream? a nightmare?
why does my chest still ache?

the line blurs between real and fake,
a memory, or a soul’s mistake?

Don’t Look Back

I shouldn't have walked home alone—
The street feels colder than I’ve known.

Footsteps echo, not just mine,
I glance behind but see no sign.

My keys shake quiet in my hand,
A voice once warned, “Don’t trust the man.”

My chest is tight, my pace is fast,
I pray each step won’t be my last.

I want to scream, but nothing comes.
My thoughts are loud, my body numb.

Please, not tonight—not like this.
I just want home. I just want peace.
This poem’s about that creepy feeling when you’re alone and can’t shake the sense someone’s behind you. Just trying to get home safe. We’ve all been there.

Danger skitters in, like a ghost—
tap.
tap.
soft soles on hard pavement—
every shadow a question,
every echo a warning.

I walk alone, flanked by fear,
adrenaline roaring,
my heart thundering in my ears.
One hand in my purse,
the other wrapped around cold metal keys,
eyes sweeping,
ears tuned to the night’s breath.

The shadows shift—
predators seeking prey,
hatred and hunger in their eyes,
searching for someone
to unleash it on.

This is survival in staccato steps—
not prey,
a lioness cloaked in silence,
not waiting,
but ready.

A woman.
On the edge.
After dark.

The veiled moon emits
the strangest obscure light.
Silently awakening
the secret world of my dark delights.
Yet the tide twinkles,
blinding bright.
On the ancient shore
of my mind tonight.
Mysterious memories swirl
that have haunted me before.
As a dark euphoria sedates my core.
In the center of my soul,
exists a vaulted door.
Where the ghosts of the heart reside.
To go inside,
exposes every secret you ache to confide.
Whoever told me there is no magic
lied to my seeing, searching eyes.
The night is silent, can you hear it....
The world's dark veined ecstasies,
sustain my sparkling startled spirit.

“I met you once.
In a world alike my own.
I now live like they and I,
but something isn’t known.

I met you once.
And only I I saw,
the stranger, you, in awe.

I met you once.
If I could call it that.
‘Cause in a simple night,
I loved you,
and I left.

I dream that I come back.”

THE LONER May 12
Who knows what I am seeing while I sleep and why my mind never allows me to remember but the fall
maybe its for my protecrion
the mind and the heart wants me here,
the soul wants to drift
to find other souls
people I ve never forgot
or lost
but laws of reality must be obeyed
and I must remain
here
maybe thats why travels never exited me this much
maybe I travel by moonlight too much
an old soul
I ve been around
A breath away
In greek mythology Dream and Death were brothers
A breath away
She gazed at the dazzling array of stars,
filled with awe and curiosity, cradling her aspirations while serving as a witness to the miracle of life, how a mere spark can evolve into an entire universe, a vast cosmos.
Nearby, a vigilant owl perched silently. Did it contemplate this enigma as well, she mused? Surely, the essence of meaning and wonder isn't exclusive to humanity, she reflected.
Surely, every creature feels the pulse of life within it, and the pull of the unknown.
As if responding to her unspoken question, the great barn owl hooted quietly and unfurled its mighty wings, soaring high into the sky, eager to discover what other marvels awaited it in its palace of trees.
Farewell, dear soul, she whispered gently; perhaps one day soon, I too will spread my wings, and fly away from this place.

Lost
not in this world,
but from it.
I walk,
one foot after the other,
toward a place
I cannot name
or maybe
there is no place
at all.

Alone,
with echoes of memories
that feel like wind
soft,
and then gone.

They call to me
the good old days
but when I turn
to look,
I see only
shadows
curling in a vacuum,
and a silence
too thick to breathe.

The past is hollow.
The future,
faceless.
And the present
just a corridor
with locked doors
and no windows.

My heart still beats,
perhaps,
but it no longer sings.
It whispers
in tired thumps,
like a bird
that forgot
why it ever flew.

I am here
yet fading,
like light
dissolving
in the arms
of night
that never comes.
Immortality May 13
The moon listens,
to the ocean's sigh,
both distant,
yet eternally destined.
and they'll continue to live this way.
