A tarnished fire
Loathe to burn and reluctant to subside
All perishable moments hide
Desire reigns in its monopoly
Of lust greed and avarice.

Logic binds truth to proofs
Passions bind reality to power
Power oozing from one wound to another
Violence upholding peace
Vengeance at the crux of justice.

Peeling off layers of presumptions
The nakedness of beliefs
Voiced in chants of supremacy
Sprinkled with the blood of pointless sacrifices
Purified in hate and prejudice.

Morality is as flawed as mortality
Susceptible to as many ailments
Yielding to the  whims of time and memory
Moments pass and monuments erode
History is retold in fantasy.

A Haiku

Can fish perceive pain?
Some of us say they cannot,
so we can hurt them.

bad men doing bad things
that’s common; ordinary
unremarkable.

it’s when good men
do evil deeds
that the devil smiles.

no heart only self
mortality is just apathy
emotions all dull
I was listening to No Heart by 21 Savage and for some reason a need to make a haiku came up into my mine....It's really sad to be someone who has no feelings that thinks about others :( Thank God I personally am full of sympathy and empathy :D

The shade of the tree
Kills the acorn at its base —
What's an injustice?

Give me food stamps or twenty bucks
I will feed a few hungry mouths.
Give me a laptop or pen and paper
I'll enlighten a million bright minds.

Give me one thousand swords
I'll train and build a rebel army.
I'll rather take twenty textbooks
And transform a generation of minds.

Give me a golf club membership,
I'll trade it for a couple of laptops.
I'll rather you give out scholarships
So underprivileged kids can learn.

Give me a day with Donald Trump,
I'll rather an hour with Dr.William Barber
Being part of the Moral Monday movement
Marching for voters rights and equality.

Poetry is about introspection...

How can one have a dream when they cannot sleep?
How can one find the will to get up every morning, and face challenges head strong without the fear or failure
Do these people have super powers?
Are these people considered hero’s?
Well if they are, then they are just like the rest of us, mask on facing adversity
Everyone is a hero, and everyone is a villain

Good intentions are an arbitrary construct created by society to be able to distinguish a universal morality
For example, most people would say that intentionally killing or hurting others is wrong, and those who take part in such horrific actions should face severe consequence
But what if you had to **** to save a loved one
What if you had to **** to protect your life
Would it still be wrong? Should those people still face the same consequences
Your intentions are good, but your actions tell another story

How do we define what is just?
Everything happens for a reason, that’s what most people would believe
But why does there need to be a reason
Sometimes things just happen
We have no control
We are simply insignificant specs of dust desperately trying to understand the world we love

Like most things in this world, we humans live in a cycle
It’s continuous and never-ending
Just as precipitation leads to evaporation
History repeats itself
Hate breeds more hatred
Love leads to more heartbreak
And the bird fly’s south to escape the cold winters

A bad King may spoil even the best of times
We fable a good King’s aid in the dark ages

In our royal age of infinite information
We have royally forgotten the meaning of knowledge

In a sapphire dungeon of instant gratification
We have misplaced the majesty of pleasure

In this kingdom of self-indulgent ignorance
We have lost the nobility of wisdom

Can any subject ever again decree:
‘Tis better, The World, without a King.
