ME
her pretty face might be the first thing that calls your attention but that’s not all there is to her.

it starts off with her heart.. oh is that heart nothing but pure and gold.
she tends to consider it her best feature.

we go into her strength next.. you can believe her strength is most definitely capable of moving mountains.
although, she has the tendency of thinking she’s weak.

now let’s talk about her soul.. which is truly one of a kind. she’s destined for such big things.
she knows her soul pretty well.

you know what’s wrong with this girl though?

she’s the type of girl that gets too caught up in saving others that she forgets about herself. she forgets to come above water and take a breather. she's made her fair share of mistakes, god forbid they hold them against her though. she’ll literally commit mental suicide all on her own. i wish she would use her voice more, but she’s too busy thinking that it doesn't matter. little does she know that her voice is capable of healing all. her touch can be so gentle yet so rough. i think she spends too much time grieving the things she cannot change that it gets in the way of the things she can change. i feel so bad for her sometimes because when you look into those big brown eyes, you can see all the pain and sadness she carries around all day. when she wakes up on the good side of the bed she tries to stay on it by smiling, talking, and attempting to manifest all that she wants. down side of that is that it will probably only last a few minutes before she begins to drown again. i can’t wait till she grows a little more. i know she thinks that the universe is always drowning her with so many lessons but that’s only because she comes out on top each time and shares that knowledge with those who need it as well. she yearns to be so loved because she knows it’ll fix all of her broken pieces.

that girl is me..

i am strong
i am beautiful
i am pure
i am gold
i am one of a kind
i am loved.

He looked him dead in the eyes.
In his dead eyes, he looked at him.

You are not helping because you are hurting.”

A father to a son, as new lessons are lost.

When life gives you lemons
What do you say?
Do you keep them for yourself?
Or throw them away?

Will they be sour if you eat them?
Or sweet if you leave them?
You’ll never really know
If you never receive them 🍋

Where is that daunting monster
Boogie man in life’s shadow
Master mentor and concierge
Whose touch I’ve come to know

To you I’ll waste no breath
Beauty is not long and septic
My daunting docent of death
Midwife to misery, work quick

What small dignities remain
Strung of vomiting seconds
Cultures a pearl of great pain
To ferry a man of no direction
Pain is one of the teachers in life. It is the knuckle busting in your face school of life. While one should never take the class as an elective, it's lessons should be learned... hopefully by another who can pass the notes on.

There are thousands of stories
Under her skin

Touches
Whispers
Kisses
Tears

She took slowly one by one
sewing a long veil
For her daughter's wedding day
Just had a curious about what ******* teach to her daughter. There could be a lot of stories out there that no one can tell.

he wanted to see if we were on the same page.
meanwhile, I was reading a different book.
its past chapters made me wince in pain,
which lived - unhealed - within me.
as his fingers lightly caressed the pages,
he whispered, "acknowledge the pain,
then close the book. you can't live like this.
we can get through this and read the same page."
I turned to the past chapters, heart pounding in fear.
instead of wincing and hurrying to the end,
I read those pages, absorbed every word,
understood the story, acknowledged its lessons,
and released it to make room for a new story.
then - and only then - I closed the book.
I kept the lessons and sat next to him.
he showed me the book he was reading from,
and now we're finally reading from the same page.

Hey there, Pain
So we meet again …

I really thought you left forever,
But you for sure are very clever.

You come to teach me important life lessons,
But I think I need many more sessions.

No, I’m not running away from you this time,
Yeah, I know my open wound would get a taste of lime.

But then again I think its high time to learn,
That you’re here because strength is what I need to earn.

Let me embrace you and understand one thing
That you’re not a burden but a blessing.

I’ll get stronger over time … you’ll see,
You will then have to walk away from me !
