I did my best to
form a snowflake

---
Steele Apr 2015
Lips of velvet pursed and mocking;
Eyes watching, flattered and bemused.
I've never felt so whole before,
just as I've never felt so wholly used.

Chocolate skin and silver lace,
Behind soft whispers, and pretty lies.
lines of worry mark her perfect face,
as she turns to face my knowing eyes.
                    I've never felt so whole before;
                    I wish I felt wholly more surprised
                        not by the fire in her stare;
                          by the red flowers in her hair;
                                but by the cologne scented letter
                                             on the floor with her sweater
                                                 she thinks I didn't see her hide...

Outside
Warm breeze
Birds fly
Thick as thieves
Sun shines
Through the leaves
I want to go outside.

Outside
Fire place
His arms
Around me lace
Through long grass
He will chase
Me-I want to go outside.

Balled and rolled
But never been told
What was once tied
Will set loose and die
Ceridwen Jan 2015
I always feared that when he touched me
he would draw back his hand in disgust.
Instead he holds me like old pages
chasing the foxes
he holds me like delicate lace
tracing each vine
and makes me feel rare
and beautiful.
god i know my poetry ***** im sorry

A new pilgrimage takes place
A new solid rock
I'm not very prolific
But my friend's a clock
I tried to let you down
I was magnificent
Nothing tastes like satin or silk cause
All I have is lace

Now my apples are sour
And I'm missing a flower
But at least I've got the stem
It's fire in the kiln

Liquor store of alcohol
Lead me to die on the wall
Another unimportant speck of carbon
All he is
Is sobbin'

Let the fruit of the garden
Polish your life
Won't you just trust the warning
Please, please pardon
If I'm a little boring
My friend Dave
And My brother Davey
Both went to Navy
Both died trying to save me

If you think you know me then
Listen to the birds
They will tell you everything
That I can't with words
Puffs of thistledown
floating in the air.

Lovely lady
dark blue plums
and the tracery of lace.

'Toot' says a trumpet
to the cry from a clarinet.

Tinkling piano notes
flowing
lilting, rippling, fleeting
fleeing.

Bows, strings and violins.

Echoes of yesterday
fading into grey.

Bleed into me with your all;
You're already alive within my bloodstream
Let's bleed together to check that we're not hollow and cut our palms and lace our fingers and blood as we bind ourselves into each other.
