words, I read them
they are stuck in my brain
words, I know who they are from
speak, but I stay in my lane

words, they slice my thumbs
sliding them across the screen
words, what have they made me become?
speak, but I'm only a teen

words, they made me succumb
can someone know my pain
words, can I ask someone to come
speak, "I need help to stay safe and sane"

My brain capacity
dwindling to
3  hours of study
per day.

What do I do with
the time off?

Do I sift the internet
for diamonds?

From birth until death we ply our trade
pulling anger and frustration to enslave,
save our fixation on the withering winters grave...
where we buried summer
and found our calloused hands warming on a fire
we spent hours forming in history’s funeral pyre.

If we could see above the suffering
and the internet buffering
if we could hold eternity in our hearts
and not let it get torn apart

we would see beyond the frogs well
and believe in heaven and not in hell

Media moguls
(The big six)

Media moguls, farming us like baboons, leaving just a flicker of our human potential; enough to consume.

A bitter machine, manufacturing and selling the illusion of fear and failure; ******* with our subconscious, spinning and expanding this dark material world; for nothing more than prestige and false profits.

There is more to life than this!
Wake up Space monkeys!
A constant stream of negativity, greed and desire.
There are thousands of people,
Looking for love on the internet today,
I’ve never seen the odds, how many find happiness,
Compared to those who just waste, many months away,

No one has A decision date, listed, the year, and time,
There is always, one more to look at,
Like A child in A candy store line.
So many flavors, to choose from,
It puts confusion, in your mind.

So many, personals, the list should get shorter, every day,
Everyone should be dating, each other,
Just to go out, learn more about life, different ways,
Does looking at pictures, become a habit,
Never noticing years, of life, can be wasted away.

Lie
-x-

You heard the man
He was telling a lie
But it felt harmless;
so you had let it fly

Into the web
of nameless, faceless arachnids
who chewed it up
and spewed out in typeset

With no recourse,
it spread across the threads
As they kept on spinning
their yarn of hate

It grew with ancient tales
of temples broken, villages burned
And threats of history repeating itself
unless all debate was adjourned

Till a house of cards it was no more -
but a fortress you couldn't move
For you had by then forgotten
what used to be the truth

I've never been to a concert before
But I imagine it feels like this
Chaotic, high energy and loud

Despite the distance, it's fun
The energy around you
Makes it so enjoyable

The drum of the music
The vibrations in the air
The addicting sounds
Makes you feel on top of the world

The type of feeling that says,
"I can die happy"
The clarity and serenity in this moment
Makes me feel calm watching you

I wish I could feel this way
After this is over
Maybe I can see you in person
Without this disconnect
Hoping that concerts resume after the pandemic is over. I still have my tickets and I'll be ****** before I let go of them
