Ticktock,
Drip drop
The voices of this house
Speak to me
And yet,
More comforting
Than the silence
We lived in
Before you left
Your key

No more loop holes,

Tell them what you meant,
You only live once , there's so much time
to repent,
Lucky with no friends,
But if you did,
They will put a price on your kindness for
hate people to devour,
In final hours the fire gets louder bursting
the mind of a youngin' whos probably
proud of something beautiful that he
made in the garden ,but wheres the eden?
Finding that out is impossible , quite
an achievement,

Bright minds nowadays,

They only find solace,
Don't find the disposition of an emotional
malice,
In your mind you built a palace,
They can't break you down and if they did
they'll never take your dignity and pride,
you're a God,
But as broken as shards while moving the
stars in a negative o-zone that is this
earth, if you find any kind of harmony and
peace in your heart , I hope you find it
soon cause the world is doomed, Don't
break yourself apart young one.

You bring me up
When I feel down
You turn my frown
Upside down

I know it sounds cliche
But you're everything
My night and day

It's 12:27 a.m.
And my postman's fast asleep
As I should be,
But I lie awake while you're also
Counting sheep

This distance between us
Cements my eyes to a map
Questioning the miles
Upon miles
Worth a hitchhike
And knapsack

For now, I'll write you poetry
Stamp and seal it
With a kiss
Until my mail carrier arrives
To deliver these words
Of how much you're missed

The quill is the tongue of my very soul;
dipped into the ink made of my tears.
           It matters not if my words are thorn to many;
This Queen will speak and touch those
                                                             special few.
"Though honey is sweet, do not lick it off a briar."

I remember--
I must've been a little younger than five
The first time I learned of letting go
Peeking around my mom's recliner
Staring tearfully at the screen
Dorothy said goodbye to the Scarecrow

We formed a friendship, an unlikely pair
Me poking fun at your lack of brains
You encouraging me as I followed a dream
Down my winding, yellow-brick lane

You were there for me first
Seeing me through every storm
Communicating in the darkest of nights
As I hid fearfully from a tornado that formed

A journey full of memories
A bond strengthened through time
I've always found you most intelligent
And whether I stay or go--
I'll remember there's no place like home
When your love is mine

I used to think the pinnacle of elation
Derived from you so wittingly
Conjuring my laugh,
But I must attest,
The sincerest bliss occurs
After I induce the same--
Witnessing your face illuminate
Is a gift unwrapped

Write from your soul.
Do what your heart desires.
Your heart will be full
and your passion will be on fire.

You can do anything
if you put in your heart and soul.
Whatever it may bring,
you will be refreshed and whole.

So take a risk in your penning.
You never know what you may write.
You may be a blessing
to someone's cold restless night.
