She once said,she loved poetry
I said,I'd be your poet
And write my heart out truly
So I looked up the dictionary
But not a word I found
That did justice to her beauty

So I told her words are just words,
In each mind it takes a different colouring.
She understood poetry isn't my cup of tea.
Who cares, when she doesn't mind my poor vocabulary.
I love her and she loves me:)

A TERM OF ENDEARMENT.....

As a little girl my girl friends dad
Called me BIRDBRAIN....
And that never bothered me.
I knew it was a term of endearment.
Of course back then I didn't know
What endearment meant.
But I knew he was kidding...
His house was the fun house
Of the neighborhood.
His wife was an angel.
We had taffy pulls,
Mrs G made popcorn *****,
And lined up chairs
In front of the television
So we kids could watch
Wrestling....
with a big bubble magnifying glass
And she served us bowls of popcorn.
Always something to do....
I went to the quarry one time with them
Looking for fancy rocks....
Mr. G, Mr. G is this a good one?
No Birdbrain, it's just sandstone...
He was a fancy rock collector...
The name Birdbrain was so special to me...
A name which was spoken with
Endearment....
I'm sure of that.....

By judy
Now I'm afraid if someone heard him call me birdbrain, he would be in trouble. Free speech is no longer a free...

The air thick with dust
Cows roaming the streets,
Flashing lights and loud noises,
Children laughing an playing.
Houses painted in sickening colors
sarees tumbling from the waists of women.
Amazing, flavorful, mouthwatering food.
Family and friends, celebrating festivals
color in the sky and all around
Though there are things both good and bad,
I love my homeland and I stand proud.

Birds of a feather, together they flock
Whether they skip, run, jump or walk
Laughter, fun, smiles ear to ear
Experiences shared without any fear.
Frolicking through the meadow
Peaceful day, happy and mellow
Hands holding as they stroll
Attraction inevitable, resembling soul

Through the cold damper of a snowy night

A student gathers his thoughts with willful foresight

Little did he know his ideas would take flight

To a hazy land with all my buds in sight

Laughing and loving, all through the house

Loud music blaring, causing a roust

Eyes get low, the hunger stirs

A feast concludes, then an inevitable slumber
I think you may know what this one is about... Haha

Dig
I dig, you dig, we dig,
He dig, she dig, they dig......
It's not a very beautiful poem
But it's very deep.

A* Word.
A Phrase.
A Number.
A Gaze.

No Freedom.
No Time.
No Fun.
No Rhyme.

Our Minds.
Our Thoughts.
Are Shaped,
And Bought.

Eradicate.

Riveting was his gaze
disturbed my response
my heart skipped a beat
did he  think I would cheat
or make a hasty retreat
taut was the silence
before I showed him my moves
he caught on a bit late
as I softly whispered
check! my  dear mate!

with a few drinks
a couple friends
loud music
and
laughing so hard
it hurts to breathe
it's easy to feel like
everything is right
in life
I've thought for so long
that people who drink their
feelings away had it all wrong
but it turns out I wasn't the one
who was right
I like forgetting about
life for awhile
I like being able to be me
with no restrictions
or concern for anyone's feelings
or even having to worry
about anyone else
All I need is myself
