The waves of the sea crash ashore
Like the emotions of the human heart
Hard, unforgiving, not caring
So powerful they shape our world

The sea, so vast, so deep, and so unfamiliar
Life giving, in control of all existence on earth
Like emotions, forever changing and molding
The landscapes of a millennia

The sea, like emotions, cannot, should not answer
For their power it wields, be it for good or ill
For the great influence they hold over us
They simply exist, there is no more

The tides of humanity, are pulled to and fro
By the touch of circumstances and woe
Like the pull on the ocean deep
Kissed by the moons caress

Humanity has dived into the abyss
Found deep beneath the ocean waves
Daring to seek out the secrets
Mankind was not meant to know

Yet we hide from the rip tides and currents
From the depths in our own souls
Shivering with the fear of discovering
What we might find hidden there

Like our exploration of the sea we are virgins
Seeking with curiosity secrets we do not understand
Adventurers not completely appreciating
The power over the depths of our inner worlds

We are tossed about in our efforts
We buck violently in our ships, and yet
We sail out into the pit of our emotions
Seeking knowlege we may never comprehend

What have we found in our adventures?
More questions, more fear, more grief
Our own emotions frighten us beyond
What a human’s heart may be able to endure

Will we ever complete our mission?
Will our exploration never cease?
Will all our questions be finally answered?
Will we find all that we seek?

Like the exploration of the ocean
There are places we simply cannot go
We can wish, and hope to visit this vastness
But our fragile bodies weaken us

Like the deep abysmal oceans of our world
Humanity needs to seek the truth out in our soul
And finally accept that the human heart like the sea
Is a vast conundrum we cannot fully know

Timid Wonderment

When the door has finally opened
The lid at last is cracked
The dim light
Now bright
To the unaccustomed eyes

Fearfully compelled
Impossible to hide
In this darkness
Any longer

Shielded eyes
Trembling fingers
Halting steps

Face now lifting
In Timid Wonderment

Feel the air on your skin
let it sink in
And then begin the trip of a lifetime.
Explore.
Whether it be exploring the mountians or exploring your self.

It's in our darkest times;
Trapped inside the labyrinth
Of our minds

With the waves of sorrow
Clawing out
And flowing freely
Down the engraved canyons
Of our tired eyes

That we discover
The most beautiful
Hidden corners
Of our souls.

{Set I: Brandon}
When I wake up,  I want to only see you
An adventure of a lifetime, all I say is 'Whoo-Hoo!'
I love the way you sound when you're fatigued
Those hands and how they fit between mine
I want you in the picture when I succeed
Pancakes, lemonade, it's almost 5
On the road to Niagara, with you I feel high
You can play with your ruby hair and I'll smile
When I look at you I know we can walk 500 miles
Pancakes, lemonade, watching a colorful sunrise
You'll be asking what I'm looking at with those eyes
I'm just looking at the last piece to my puzzle
It's the littlest things that really make your connection with somebody truly special and unique. ❤️

Come with me,
Along this path:
Through the forest,
Towering over us on either side.
Smell the greenery
All around.
Orchestral accompaniment
From countless birds.

Hope you feel engaged
As we stroll along.
And now the pathway branches out!
Six new paths,
Six choices.
Let’s take one.
Off we go.

We risk being lost.
What wonders
Or horrors (!)
Will we find?

The woods **** us in,
Further and further forward.
Punctuated by pesky gnats.
Expect itchy red spots
When you get home.

Onward and onward.
Bees and butterflies.
Sun streaming through the branches up above,
Trees topped by fleecy white clouds.

At last – a clearing!
Can I hear the sea or just a lake?
Or is there a stream nearby?
I see a golden parting of the ways,
A little land beyond forever.
But what do You see???

Hope you all enjoy this.
there is a world out there,
beyond these walls of my childhood.
restricted by the boundaries,
       of discovery and youth.
once i am gone, once i am free,
       i can live the unknown
       i can live the unthinkable
i can live in someone else's walls.
all new to me.
