Star BG Jan 2018
The waltz of our breaths intertwine
with heart beating song.
With light that vibrates to guide feet
and eyes that see light
spiraling in colorful splendor.

Moment unfold
in stomping ground of a new year.
Bells chime to celebrate the tides of life.
Magic of love readies itself to launch dreams.

Birds echo.
Dogs sing.
Mother Earth hugs.
Clouds drift in grace.

And we WE all move
like puzzle pieces of consciousness
as cells in Gods mind.
First poem of the New Year that was inspired by the word waltz.
Death is an in interesting music
It needs somebody to pick
To invite her to dance slowly like
She's on clouds riding a bike
That no one will notice her

Under the sea of stars
I danced with my hopes and dreams
they haunted the night sky
As ghosts of what used to be
Blanketed by the innocence
Exposed to times greatest tricks
Lied the happiness of a hungry heart
Made from the starlit sea
That swam in an ocean
Sewed with loose seams
That let the smiles slip
Whenever you’re asleep
And under the sea of stars
Danced an untamed me
That hadn’t seen the light of day
But I was always lurking
Alongside my hopes and dreams
Swimming in the shadows
Of nighttime’s greatest greed
When man fell asleep to music
Made by the soul hunters
That took my dreams from me
Only to place them under the sea
Where stars of past hopes
Waited for my forgotten dreams
To once again dance alongside me

she held the greatest capacity for love
he had ever seen,
for her heart had been shattered
more times than she could count.

she told him to stay away,
for she feared the love of another man.
though that didn't stop
the evident spark between the two.

she finally jumped
into the arms of love,
and forever they will
dance in the dark
to the sound of slow jazz.

pulling their bodies apart,
and their hearts together once more.

Oh this twinkling city.
“Come on over --
We have the night life.”

My car is two blocks away, just past,
just past these neon lights now.
Just past these long-legged, bustiered signs.
Come here missy, come in.
Come on, hon - you want to dance?
We need girls to dance.

Walk on, purse-clutching city woman.

Oh this dancing city
Oh this shattered city.
Caroline Roche Dec 2017
I swear the star-lit hours are thieves.

Deep navy our depressant
in those free hours of the night,
Principles drenched clean in burnished light.

Inhibition stolen now,
we flail a rhythmic roadside dance
an ethereal midnight trance.

Bluey blood flowers my sleeve,
Kneeling on ghostly asphalt - still.
I don’t know what I tried to ****

But blue looks red in the morning.

Light scattered
A star shattered
Moon she remain unstirred
Gloriously she flared
Slow wind chants
Silent flowers dance
Shadows in night crawl
Intensely darkness fall
Softly the sky cries
As the little star dies
The Sparrow Dec 2017
Light steps commence at sun’s first ray,
And thus begins the dance today.
Your presence beckons me from sleep
In perfect step, I try to keep.
——
And though you lead me soft and slow,
Missteps, each, begin to show,
The little lie, the lustful glance,
Reveal the stumbles in our dance.
——
But though I trip with every fall
You keep me spinning through it all.
Behold my flaws! There is no trace!
For all are hid in perfect grace.
