Oooh my, can't stand this any more sooo...

...Felt a strange urge
in my legs
jumped into my car
wanted F R E E D O M,
craved   F R E E D O M,
freedom away from
this imprisoning sign-city

Felt the true call of nature
Felt my natural urge to e x p a n d
needed my
ROAMING grounds
once more

Fled for o p e n country s p a c e s
where FREEDOM reigns
like, like refreshing droplets of spring water

BOLTED out of my car
where mother earth
cushioned my feet,
caressed me,
hugged me,
And go so far as to say,
even crawled into my jeans
and heard harmonious
chirping birds

Felt this strange twinge
in my calves
Ran like a deer
Ran into e x p a n d I n g  o p e n  s p a c e s
                                  flight
Felt my legs take
practically off ground

Felt twigs, grass and weeds
gently stroke my ankles and calves
Felt country refreshing cool air
breeze my whole body;
and whizz
up my nostrils
BUT SUDDENLY!!
I trip over something,
it's a rusty large sign reading,
"KEEP OUT INTRUDERS WILL BE PROSECUTED
PRIVATE PROPERTY"

My name is Jonathan.
I'm 9 years old.
I'll tell you a story
that's never been told.

I lived in Lebanon,
and so did you.
Till the year 14
and a thousand times 2.

We lived aside,
your building next to ours.
We were happy, what a bliss!
But there are thorns on all the flowers.

---------------------------------------

I knew not what happened next,
but I felt heat strike my face.
Who would believe that the curse we're living,
was once upon a time a grace?

The explosion happened too fast,
but I had time to take a last breath.
And when you took yours too,
we crawled our way to death.

So we left dear life,
which wasn't always so dear.
But even in heaven,
the cries of children, I could hear.

And I met you,
my dear friend Hussien.
But know that Muslims and Christians
are both being slain.

Just wait till they realize
their killers care not
for religion or for race,
for all was to get shot.

They're both targets,
and enemies all in one.
And our country has become
a battle that'll remain unwon.

Maybe one day they'll wake up
and learn that religion does not
give only them the rights to live
and the others the rights to rot.

Maybe one day they'll learn
that we are all but one.
So why not hold each other's hands
and to the new day welcome the sun?

My name is Jonathan.
I'm 9 years old.
The terrorist, government, and citizens;
the responsibility the do hold.

They ruined what used to be our heaven
and we would no simply obey,
even though most of us
in this heaven are here to stay.

My name is Jonathan.
I'm 9 years old.
And I **** on people
whose country they sold.
This is a poem I wrote about how bad Lebanon has become. It misses a lot of our negatives, like no electricity, no water, etc. but it takes into consideration the terrorism and governmental slacking. It also speaks with a clear voice that religion is all about helping people, even of they're not from yours. Hope you liked it :)
a lion out of the plains would be sick
walking tall in a marsh
with mud in his pretty mane?
no i don't think so.
fighter in the wrong land
fury in the wrong fist
turned inwards instead of to the wildebeest
cloven hooves at his ***
instead of teeth at their throats
proud proud lion
never be a gangster here
pull up that saggy skin and face the facts
you're in the wrong town now, kitten
more about me feeling wholly  out of place, though this one is delivered  with a more upbeat tone.
We've been around
We've been around
to every reach and place so common and yet never talked about
We've been around
We've been around
the streets paved with the teeth of hopeless lying underground

Watching at ley lines
Walking with flow of the crowd

Heaven is merciless with decision
You might want to scream low
and on the inside if only to provide
your stealth from the jury
Born any time it's hard to believe
with the droves in dead zones
written in bylines, that real estate is prime
but the line for our kind is off
kilter at best

Don't pity us, wager up
Just double down, and on the other side
Don't pity us,
Just double down,
Wager up and on the flip side of winning
we all have these lines to lay

You've been seen between trees broadcasting that look
It says every word that you mean to speak, expressly open book
To who live the drabbest day with the brightest faith and take your
comfort away while enduring hell on earth

We've been around
We've been around
right to the edge of blasphemy's reach and have the greatest fortunes found

Maybe it's the way the national flag flies so high
Despite the country's imperfections
Maybe it's the way we're united
Not separated, despite the difference in cultures,
Believes, traditions, languages

Maybe it's the way you see an Indian eating with chopsticks,
The way you see a Malay in a saree,
The way you see a Chinese making ketupat's for Hari Raya.

Maybe it's the unity you see,
Maybe it's the goosebumps you feel when you say Merdeka,
Maybe despite the hate you have towards history,
Deep down, you know how grateful you are to be Malaysian.

Maybe it's the way you walk into a mamak,
And say
" tauke tapau roti canai 1 milo ais 99 "
And maybe,
It lies in diversity,
Beyond everything else.

*Malaysia, tanah tumpahnya darahku.

Dear Lord,
Only you can see how I suffer
Tonight I pray you'll watch over my brother
When he is weak please keep him in your hand
Give him the strength he needs to protect this land
Be his light when he needs guidance
Please keep me strong when I can't stand the distance
It's a pain that I always am burdened to mask
I know it's selfish, but Lord I ask
There are so many others also willing to fight
Lord, please bring my brother home tonight
For any other fellow military sisters out there, I have created a fb support group, I would love for you to join. https://m.facebook.com/groups/744003685670242?ref=bookmark

Set me free from the shells
Of the whipping cold breeze
Imprison me within your arms
As our hearts beat as one

Let your fingertips traverse my back
As the moonlight seeps through both our skin
Trace every vein on my body
As if each leads back to your own

I want to feel the waves of your mouth
And let them wash away my pain
We have the moon as our witness
As we leave each other breathless

Swerving

We're swerving

In slow motion

With eyes closed

Toward the river

Holding hands

Smiling

Moving over lanes

Fast

Toward the rail

With our baby in the trunk

Wrapped snug in the American Flag
Some people will follow a symbolic piece of fabric so blindly, they're willing to sacrifice anything.

I'd like to think that one day you and I
Could sip tea out of mason jars in my backyard
Under the light of the stars
Just enjoying being in each other's company.
All we have to do is listen to the acoustic beat of the night air
The tap tap tap of feet walking down the street
Or the howling of the police siren as it blares through my town.
Our town, I suppose.
Cause see I've got this patio, and this little gate that barely swings open
And a bunch of chairs I can't occupy by myself.
And you've got that guitar and that smooth voice.
The eyes that won't quit and the laugh that means something else.
You don't even have to dance with me,
I'd just like to sit with you. If you'd take my company.
I would love to watch you hang the moon.
