Boot up the computer from a dormant sleep,
A logo strides across the pitch-black screen.
A million lines of Binary code,
All made up from 0's and 1's.
A lifeless character that has life easy.
A plain, flat world easy to traverse lies before him.
The whip of keys instantly splashes color into the grey pixels,
And with the Lines of thought and programming,
Obstacles now stand in his path that he must overcome.
The background is set,
The bugs and glitches are fixed.
All that’s left is for the character to conquer this path,
Then as quickly as it began,
It will begin again.

A child is crying because he can't sleep
But we don't notice
A guy with a wife just got his house taken away
But we don't notice
A mother got her kids taken away
Because the only thing she had was them
But we don't notice
A soldier thinks to himself about home
As a bullet hits his chest
But we don't notice
A man in a suit cries in his car
His date waits for him to come inside
He got the news his mom lost the fight to cancer
But we don't notice
A girl goes to a bar
Guys surround her for her number
She came to drink about her break up
But we don't notice
A man sits at his computer all day
Staring at the screen, not caring
But still cares about everything
He stays silent as his life stands still
But we don't notice
A girl sits in the shower crouched in fear
Fear of what has already happened
Fear of what will happen again tonight
The girl holds her breath then goes under water
But we don't notice
When actually we do.

This is a special report my computer went AWOL unknown corruption , I am eagerly waiting for it's return.
I am suffering withdrawal from poetry and greatly miss all of you
Feel free to message me on what great poetry i have missed and i will add them to the top of my list , to read apon my computers return , in the meantime i am searching for a neighbor who is nice enough to let me take even five minutes of there time to go online.
I hope that i can cope with my computers absence, I don't want ,me or my computer or this message to self destruct
Taking a break due to my computer being repaired  ,feei like Iam losing  my mind and some hair , makes  me realize  how much i am a slave to technology after  all.

Job searches getting me down
I wait a few days and build up expectations of a keyword,
only to be hit with my inexperience in strange computer programs
Secret knowledge, have the behind the curtain research consultants
No one wants to understand a fleeting past

It’s all about what’s profit present
an internet job board is a long look at the priorities of this nouveau world "culture"
The top jobs are in marketing,
turning spy loot into algorithms that explain to magistrates how
the top brands can stay above the clouds
It’s the only way they can look down

My college has a vapid radio commercial
advertising zesty summer programs
- and I thought my prestigious public college
was above that
Digital in the darkness
I can only think of you
Despite the power I harness
Its something I can't compute.
Your eyes are glowing
when they come into view
making the bits start flowing
into my CPU.
You changed my process
by being so bold;
emotional excess
changed my programming code.
So I guess this is what its like
to love someone,
But I cannot go into the light
It cant be done.
I wish I could lose myself in you
the way you seem to
But the logic sets in
before we're through.
What I'd give
for just one touch
yet I'm not real
and it hurts so much.
Is it possible to listen to too much EDM?

Spy on this
not because I'm a deviant "ist"
of some dangerous ideology
No, I cannot hold on to anything so strong
What a scary time for those alive
whose key logs match that terribleness
just a little bit
"Oh, but she was so non-violent"
No, it's media martyr silence
Freedom of speech?
See how careful I am - just typing?

But for most the danger is in all our numbers
Algorithms for shopping patterns
voting and religion too
We give our attachments to them freely
so I say "hello there," maybe lone computer
or programmer
soulless, or believing Brother's benevolence
-Not here for the poetry

you keep me awake
eroding desire for learned things

the aching reality seeps
into the dinner i’ve yet learned
how to cook

TV,
numb the onset of a depression
bound to break me
as it already has to my family

a family intoxicated,
sitting staring submissive
to your sermon, the rippling pool
of sounds too stale to in and
exhale

I watch you indoctrinate
placid as a vegetable

like a euthanized dog
falling asleep I slide into
senselessnessbliss

Talking long distance to you online
I feel I know you even though we've never met
I know your feelings, your quirks
Your wants, your needs
I love you for who I've come to see plastered on my computer screen.

A thin pane of glass
Sits between you and me
Yet I somehow know
That it is meant to be
