Painted red lips
Blusher'd rosy cheeks,
Make pallid complexions
Bleed.
Life’s source courses
Through hot veins;
We are all vampires
Attracted to circulation.

There is a girl
With flaming red hair
And tattoos that talk to me
As I follow them inside her shirt,
Everything about her screams
Look at me, look at me!
So I do
Then she creeps into my head
And undresses.

Maybe I have sweet lips?
Or maybe you've never met
A guy whose first wanted to
touch you with his words,
speaking through our Souls
swapping ideas, or letting
Our personalities into the bedroom before
Our bodies.

My tides move in waves
Of reactive oscillation.
Bound to your momentum
By threads of gravitation.

Gravity, like rainfall . . .
I, never yours,
And you, never mine.

Each day I etch a tally,
And try to act surprised
That another day
Has come and gone
In which the sun forgot to shine.

I'm so attracted to the broken
The struggle, the sorrow
The empathy in me swirls and swells
Reading poems to sadden my soul
Forcing tears to my eyes
Reminding me how to cry
Reminding me it's okay to hurt
Everyone else is hurting too
No one is as happy as they appear
So I suppose, it's really the strength
To be honest about how broken one is
That I find staggeringly attractive

A fiery *****
She knows to trade
She wants to grow
Extreme havoc
Follows her wake
Beginning to suffuse
A relationship with honor
Sustainable fixings
An eternal gift
The purity of a partner,
With emotions
The wave of the divine
