I held my pride,
I really tried,
My body cried,
For I didn't try to hide,
He was my guide,
On this ride,
But all feelings aside,
He already had his bride.

Departing umbrellas, we hope the ride was hell!
Please enjoy the rain you're ready for
that is going to wash the crevices of your ribs.

Flocks of crows sitting in a concrete abyss
with itchy stubble
and broken toes
I lost their feathers in the eye of the storm,
as angels wept snow over blue mountains

You must declare danger before you shout war
as weapons are lustful for your children
a forbidden affair has started
between the innocence and the bullets,

And lust, in the form of broken eye contact,
Shifting thighs,
Warming cheeks,

One hand
briefly
on your shoulder

Darling, dearest,
Come out of the dark,
And into my heart
The sun has set,
The crowds are gone,
No longer I ought to pretend
That you’re only just a friend

A phantom came to me
One night,
And told me that I must
Repent for all
The lying I've
Done.
"Throw away the temptation,"
He'd say, "solve
Where you stand in the
Universe and
Tell the truth, for God's
Sake!"
By God as my holy witness,
I swore that I
Would.

The hurt in Mommy's eyes
Strengthened the guilt that
Ate away at my
Deceitful little
Heart.

Daddy was the smart one
In this tedious war
Erupting inside our
Family. He forged
Alliances first and
Managed to
Make Mom the
Enemy.

He turned his children
Into soldiers so he
Could master
Victory; his children
Were ****** and broken
On the battlefield, but
We still had one
Last battle.
I was the rebel force
That exposed the
Truth to the
Enemy, only now I
Realize the real enemy
Was my father.

As the cover was
Blown,
She was a whirlwind
Ready to destroy
Anything in her
Way.

Even after hearing
Their screams
From the comforts
Of a corner and
As they sang happy birthday
To me with one
Pitiful candle in an
Expired cake,
I knew that in this lifetime,
Turning twelve
Wasn't so great.
My twelfth birthday.
Her wont on a sleeve
only made hour grieve
while fever fed a cold today
the road sought hither late
and zonked this dale
still clamored in her oath
she'd bid herself again
but to perish her affront
while inside my belt
only brought here by stock
would swelter in her seat
along highway oft-tried and
never abandoned till a rap
her deathly congestion, Alas
Standing on a lily pad
In a very unfamiliar pond
I determined not to get my feet wet-
But the splashes felt so good
I reached out instead of drawing back.

Who wold have known I was parched-
I didn't even know I was thirsty.

An affair that almost happened

Chased we were into the dying woods
A mob of armored men on the crimson horizon
In all that I do, it was and is for the love of you

Fugitives are we
For what? A serious crime it must be
To fall in love with him and he to love me
Promised to another man I was
But I'll be ****** if I live a life without love

Jealousy of a man has derived
A bounty on your head dead or alive
And double the reward for my return
Every tender loving night with you
Will forever within me burn and burn

Bitter is the understanding
Between we two
You say to me "I'll never stop loving you"
Stopped in our tracks with a fruitless plea
He tells me to go back, that he'll always be with me
For he'd rather watch me from afar with another man
Than me be forever a fugitive in a foreign land

A stubborn gal I've always been
This argument presented, he knows he'll never win
I'd rather run forever or be dead
Than spend a night in another man's bed!

This hopeless romantic devotion
I am overtaken by fervent emotion
As a hail of arrows rains down upon us
I give my love one final embrace
And stare the reaper in the face

Every piercing blow testament of my intense dedication
I knew this love was not without ramification
His beautiful body I shield with my own
These dead woods will forever be my home
I'd rather die than see the one I love suffer, especially if I am the cause.

We wrestled once,
through tangled sheets
You on top, I beneath
Leading lady and her little sheep

Late into the night we stayed
Secret sapphics stowed away
When daybreak hit and eyes could see
Our heat rolled off with the tumbleweeds

It's as if we are dancing in an never ending waltz with the wind.
Constantly being turned and led, falling in love and falling apart in the same moment in time.
All the colors around us turning into a brilliant blaze of fiery autumn, setting the world in flames.
And when the dance comes to a final bow, we are left out in the cold.
Always wanting a home to belong to, yet only waiting to be swept away again.
The wind is a lover we all want, yet is cruel and heartless.
Taking us in only to throw us back out again.
Entranced by what we want life to be, yet deceived by the beauty of it all.
The harsh reality of it all is that life is but a dance and when it ends,
we are forgotten.

I have a passion for graveyards,
for ghosts and secrets lurking below overturned soil,
cracked headstones screaming haunted pledges,
ripe grass fertilized by those we love.
The perfect place for a sunlit picnic.

Jupiter hangs low in the pregnancy of midnight,
          lord of my eternity.
A sustenance to fuel my blood and feed my soul,
we spend our nights swapping juniper berries and allegories.
You’re my albatross, my cemetery stone,
a Cheshire catalyst embedded in my soul.
