I live among ghosts now
Because magic always has a price.

To bring you back-
I had to revive dead versions,
Of who I used to be.

- This love is haunting and raising things that were better left dead has consequences
- You are here , but you love her

May it be

G2
May it be the silent prayer of someone,
whom we don't know by heart.

May it be the silent-hate of the ones,
whom we love and care the most.

May it be a sudden seen of a beautiful face,
whom we can't get.

May it be an innocent soul,
on the way of our accidental path.

Beside what used to be your pillow, I wake.
Melancholy as I get out of bed.
Brushing teeth by the sink
With a jolt of sadness and dread;
your toothbrush on the brink.

Eating the pain for breakfast.
Then wishing the shower can
wash away the misery.
I look at the mirror hoping that again,
I could meet your lips so dreamy.

But seeing that photo near the corner
reminds me why I must not bother.

Driving to work with the thought of you
sitting on the passenger seat.
I put my phone on top of my table.
Longing for your voice so sweet,
waiting for your message so playful.

Can you blame me if I can’t forget you?
Everything still lingers.
Everything reminds me.
I feel like I hold my heart in my fingers,
shattered to the highest degree.

I even take the long way home
to forget the state of being alone.

So please come back;
not for a brand new start.
But to keep our memories at bay;
to keep the pain, the pieces of my heart.
It used to beat for you, anyway.
Caraphernelia \ka-rə-fə(r)-‘nēl-yə\ noun : a broken-heart disease that occurs whenever someone leaves you, but leaves all of their belongings behind.

This poem was inspired by American post-******* band Pierce the Veil’s song of the same title.

Remember the night
you first saw
all the stars
reaching out to you
a circle of friends
dancing in the light
by a breezy fire
flames bend
and lick the bottom
of an iron ***
full of magic potion
spilling over your lips
down your wrists
and arms raised high
to feel, to show
life is here
down by the roots
of trees so tall
you must fly
to see the top
and fly we will
as we soar through the forest
laughing out loud
we leave behind
a place and time
where nothing is real

Tiny curls of ink
on page after page
covered in a notebook
locked in a drawer
the silent voice
offers release
for grand ideas
and beautiful dreams
swirling in my mind

words of pain and delight
of love and hate
never made it to my lips
trapped in muted darkness
they stick to the sheets
never to change
never to betray
feelings that went
screaming onto the page

no one  will ever know
what lay hidden inside
buried with me
the pages crumble
silent feelings
turn to dust

Take me
to the place
where you get lost
and I will find you
until the end of time
we will wander
through this world
with your heart
in mine

First it was me
Then it was we
And we became us.
In a blink it became I.
I became the other woman.
Once the object of your affection
Now just an object
An object receiving your silent rejection.
She suddenly became the future me.
The story of we.
Stealing our us.
A different kind of silence for her.
One of omission
A blanket of protection
One that kept you from feeling her rejection.
That omission of us
The love we shared
Made me the other
Now a pure love that I had for you
Became ***** and tainted
A secret to be kept.
I became the other woman
With no rights to reach out
No expectations allowed
I had to wait and wonder
While you pondered your quest
I was left alone with questions
I was left to manage all the unknowns
She became the conversation
The object of your focus
Not excluded
Left in the dark
Alone.
She became me
And I became the other woman.
Grieving alone
A secret
