You’re in the colours
I see everyday and you’re
in the rainbows I see
on special days.
Even though I don't see you anymore,
you still make up the spectrum
that gives my life beauty.
I don't see how I could forget you
when you're still painting
the colours in my life.
Give me your imagination
On a paper night
I want to take my heart to you easily

If the night is black
And I don't even have a star
My tears paint your eyes in the sky

I wish my life was like this
Painting
Be with me until the moon shines again

I wish my life was like this

one brushstroke
after
another

there a little bit
of white
there a little bit
of blue

a song
fades
softly into
the background

and
my thoughts
once
don't revolve
around you

i don't meditate
but i paint
also check out my other poems!  :)
Each stroke of my charcoal pencil,
Scraping against paper,
Scratched out yet another scar
Masking my feelings
As they bled on paper-
Black rivers running scarlet,
And locked it there,
A dam brimming
Unleashed,
Wiped off, in a brave
Attempt to never
Be uncovered again,
Sunken
Under alluvium.

Time flies fast,
like a little bird,
swinging trough the sky,
never looking back.

Time is forever,
but never do you realise in time
that the present is not present anymore,
but is now past.

Time melts in my hands,
slipping trough my fingers,
only remaining the everlasting trace of memory,
staining every little crevice of my hands.

But memory,
memory remains,
persistently present in your mind,
always haunting every little image,
and every little thought.
This is a class assessment I really enjoyed, based on the painting The Persistence Of Memory by Salvador Dalí.

starts with a single drop and perfect silence
this menstrual cycle that comes with collateral violence

they will laugh and joke about your chastity
then put a bounty on your virginity

make a story out of your name
then set the hounds on your trails

blood will keep on running, until you can't keep on running
until you become the very demon they've been wanting

frightened by your femininity, yet aroused by its delicacy
they'll put a cross to your face, only to laugh at your disgrace

you can't lead, can never be like Christ
yet you will imitate his suffering day and night

they'll question your faith, try to burn you at the stake
when the irony is

When the day’s sweat
Is swilled away by
Weeping gold sage
Spilling reasons
To stay
But instead
Sweet stone remnants
Crack and concave
Filling impermeable
Graves
Gone cold

Tell me,
What is left to hold?

You should’ve spoken up
When you talked down to me
Instead you split my soul
Spitting endless inbetweens
And now the spool spins heavy,
Wiry untouched runaway dreams
Where the railcar always passes
Just a moment out of reach

A distant dissonance
Deepens in threat
As my lips form new syllables
And fingers, new frets
It’s my grandmother’s voice—
My namesake, in fact—
That waltzes in echoes
Through bright chambered chest
Amassing new power
Revving dense to unfurl
Like peonies in bloom, or
Cherry blossom pearls
In descent.

It’s true:
That for which I’m meant—
Good time,
Good fortune,
Good riddance—
I will only know
After roared repent
Where I’ll expel
Dusk’s detriment,
And bellow soul’s
Percussive song
In long-overdue
Performance

At which hill
Will the wind crest

Retreat to still,
Recaptured breath

How deep the sea
Churns calling cold

Raptured bells of
Sunken churches toll

If ever there were
Predestined plateau

Where promised peace
Could erase the chain—

But the wind again billows
And once more, the rain
