I always feared when I was young

that my blue veins would bulge out of my hands

like yours
they are now deft with our flesh
you prop us up,

tchotchkes on a shelf
talk of your impending spring funeral,
peonies and tulips

take off
“***** donor” on your health card
because they’ve already been given to us

at seven in North York you
danced to Elton John by the front window,
ducking at the sight of headlights

I can avoid you like
rush hour traffic if it would save you
the trouble

Your alone,
Though their are millions of stars in the midnight sky beside you,
So you shouldn't have this sinking feeling,
This feeling that makes your heart feel hollow but heavy at the same time.

There are a million stars in the sky,
But for some reason they all feel alone sometime in their life.
Your no different,
Your all alone in this dark sky and you can't find the other lights,
That you are blind to seeing in the darkest of times.

Those million of lonely stars,
Are bleeding out stardust as they fly across the sky,
Trying to find their way but their in a daze.
That's why their just zooming by and stopping to see the others that past them by.

Oh million little lonely stars,
I know you don't mean to.
I know you want to see those other guiding lights,
And wish you could wish on them to.

There goes another falling star,
Because it was not able to open its eyes in time to see,
The actually lit up sky.

But please don't judge them,
Because they are just a million lonely stars that need us people to help,
Help them see were all there friends have been hiding.

Trust me
Please take my hand

I'll take you to another land

Where birds still sing
And flowers grow

Mountains spring
And rivers flow

With so much love
To fill the sea

Please accept
This gift from me

Trust me
Please take my hand

I'll take you to a better land

I coloured my world today
my hands smeared in pastels
canary yellows
ripe peaches and cardinal ochres
pink from a flamingo sunrise
a passionate cerise

Splashed
an array of feisty blues
a flamboyant turquoise
a topaz tango
a twinkling periwinkle

Streaked it with
beams of gold
contoured lilac smudges
lavender tipped edges
in custard pineapple floats

Splattered emeralds, toned pistachio
fern greens with swift finger strokes.

Tempered it with
muddy crusty earthy browns
rock coloured sandy mounds
reined in royal purple
the sensual blaze of a flaming sunset
the dark indigo of a gloaming sky
agate drops a few
a silver sliver of a crescent new

I coloured my world
with my eyes
my fingers,hands
my hues
....the way I wanted to

.
Alive as a stone is cold, frozen,
Unmoved as drying statuary -
No blood was running in my veins,
No song was sung behind my brain.

Was I black as rock in wintry shroud?
Was I a phantasm that caught your eye?
My ends were sewn, threaded with hands,
That room, with you, was clothed in dream.

And I slept in a loft that chastened all airs,
I lived in a box which you buried out there,
Out in the hollows of the winds and rains,
I fear I was dead, before we became.

I
It's been a while I didn't write me a song
For all those chances,  I have written just for you
This is just fair,  being fair to myself
That for once I sing a song for me

II
I've learned to see and feel my pain
That once were hidden or I was blind to see
It was not fair,  been unfair to myself
I've sang more songs,  but nothing was for me

~~
Oh,  I've been waiting for this moment
That I see myself in the mirror
Standing tall,  smiling alone
Full of hope and love for myself
Let me love myself,  let me be free
For once I need to be alone
Let me see the beauty of freedom
Let me sing this song for me

III
Tonight is the night I'll sleep with peace
No heartache,  no pain within me
For I let them go, those tears and fears inside
So I can sing this song for me

~~
Oh,  I've been waiting for this moment
That I see myself in the mirror
Standing tall,  smiling alone
Full of hope and love for myself
Let me love myself,  let me be free
For once I need to be alone
Let me see the beauty of freedom
Let me sing this song for me
No tune for now but hope I can do it on the next weekends...

Stranger Blue
The aloe has flourished in the garden
where mine heart once beat as a white rose.

The freedom of its soft fragrance has been
smothered, petals wilted, roots dead and no longer grows.

The gardener saw it fit to **** the iris and now the poison ivy, like water flows.

You filled my world
with dust
and left me with
an empty cup.
Oh that salty tears
could quench this thirst.
Pass me a bottle
and watch me drown.
Treading water is not
for me.
Hold my hand.
I dive.

Under stars
With eyes that brightly shine
I was yours
And you were mine

Summer days
That never seemed to end
Were numbered days
Too few to spend

When the heart breaks
When the soul aches
When the love is gone

Then where do we belong?

The way to love
A path we couldn't find
A twisted maze
Too tangled to unwind

But our waves found
Each others empty shores
Footprints marked
Once lonely bedroom floors

When the heart breaks
When the soul aches
When the love is gone

Then where do we belong?

Under stars
With eyes that brightly shine
I was yours
And you were mine

One more night
We only just pretend
That autumns breeze
Won't mean the summers end

Whatever it takes
Whatever fate makes
If we just hang on

I'll stand at hell's gate
Carry the weight
If we just stay strong

And if the heart breaks
If the soul aches
If the love is gone

Tell me where do we belong?
