Stars chasing stars,
hills chasing,
hills,
trees running,
lurking,
blink of an eye,
all disappears without a trace,
everything in haste,
the past catching up,
then disappears,
hastily,
the same vastness,
the moon,
speaks of its thoughts and loneliness,
lengthy flowing in the hills,
meditating on the train of life,
silently counting,
the fleeting platforms.

Tonight
there's a
jasper in the sky
the dews rinsing
the dust
the breeze conveying
the sounds of nature
the weary footsteps of birds
like the clock on the wall
and busyness reverted
to tranquility
and tonight
there's a jasper
in the sky.

Great happiness

endless happiness belongs to those who were born

close to the sun

the galaxy can see them

in love

walking

crying

moving around

carrying in their hands

a clock

that comes from the core of a rare earth

greater than all the unknown

more magnificent

the universe

extending infinitely in all directions

a black hole

extending downward

to the invisible

the weightless

living blood flowing

the stars above

the people living in the sky above

dust rejoicing among them

freely

men women and children

joy loneliness and love

floating

maturing

illuminating the sky with colors

they're everywhere

walking loving crying

the molecules in their soul

come from a galaxy

in the sky.

A touch of the setting sun
clouds redly stained
the wind skims through jungles
and mountains
then stops
at the entrance to the valley
solitary whispers of birds
awaits
wandering alone
in the wilderness of time
sun gradually drops
a few big trees
hold up the sky
in this valley i'm reaching
as if trying to catch yesterday's sun.

You stamp on the abattoir,

you eat clean vegetables,

and drink clear spring water,

they filter out the wildness in you,

and comfort your life,

let you embrace,

the harvest of the earth,

the clouds in the sky,

like a St. Bernard,

wagging its tail at you,

plants on the ground,

dance for you,

like elves and fairies,

deer and hares,

they put a forest and a hill,

into your dream,

there lives a docile sheep,

in your personality,

your great heart,

has no place for a butcher knife,

you keep watch over,

that patch of garden,

of fun, joy and hope,

the dream of your life,

embroidered with colors,

red, blue, violet and green,

and your life,

blossomed with,

grass, flowers and trees.

Vines crawling
on the old mottled wall
fog bypassing
the fence
enveloping the entire
chalet
the mystic sky over the castle
a lightning awakening
the gloomy valley
ghosts and goblins floating
around
extinguishing white candles
a witch with a broom
the silver haired wizard in a black hat
standing in the darkness of spells
the enchanted princess sleeping
in the black chalet
prince charming leading a team of
knights
sinister roses blooming quietly
spitting murky fog
tongues of flames light up the dark tunnel
the prince kills the bloodthirsty bats witches and
a clan of phantoms
the prince kisses to wake the princess who’s been asleep
for a millenium.

The castle in the smoke
sneaking
like a reptile foraging
in the city
tirelessly
the blue-colored flame
awaiting the servants
the colors of sounds
staining
all over shadiness
the scarecrow with a hat
stumbling through
the dark
the wand of a magician
melts away
the ancient bed
and the love
locked in the sarcophagus.

A blue wall,
chaotic shadows,
surrounded by solitude,
this blue wall,
cold and frozen,
in the vast confusion,
thoughts are puzzled,
by this color,
apathy is devoured,
by blue shadows,
inside the gentle blue,
time is confusing,
and cold too,

It's raining

cold water hogged the streets

people rain watching

watching the same script

rain washing the frontage

revealing long-lost clarity

dazzling colors of the wall

rise from the ground.

Don't you feel tired
moving back and forth
pulled by the sun and moon
the pattern of mechanism
the weariness of the waves
the sorrows and joys
become
the umpteen
stories.

Dream is
the autumn leaves
the winter snow
the spring water
the mountain fog
the rainbow
the fragrance of
flowers
the song
of birds
dream truly
exists.

What is happiness
it is a grass
born to be quiet
it is a river in daylight
a poetic rhyme
that touches people
what is happiness
it is a story sung
throughout the world
prolonged
unremitting
the one sleeping in the long river of
history
the baby in the cradle of
galaxy
what is happiness
it is a tired seagull
sitting in a room
waiting for the hut
of sunset
it is the gentle friendship
when spring breeze is green
a dog sitting on the shore
facing the river in a daze
what is happiness
it is the red glow
entering the setting sun
happiness is a dream
immersed
in a noise.

Wintry wind

singing a song with coldness

kneading feelings

hides gently in a backpack

a small umbrella

cannot stop the scenery along the way

the smiling soil

the dancing grass

anxious sirens

are the concerto of time

life in a hurry

in a city

in between freeness and complication

a trace of calmness

is precious.

The stars
look at me
they no longer blink
some thoughts
drowned by the night
half a moon peeks out
from behind the clouds
to adorn a little bit of
my dream
the shooting starry trajectory
such a beautiful poetic scenery
some people wake up at night
some go to sleep
staying up with you
day after day
dream after dream
when the sky is full of stars
that hide our mutual dream
holding your hand and walking with you
into the distant horizon
would have made me
the happiest person
beneath the heaven.

I like poetry
though i don't write it well
every poem contains my thoughts
every line is the perception
and crystallization of
my inner feelings
i've read countless
poems
some are written by famed poets
some by lovers
just like myself
and i always envy and admire
their literary styles
and talents
in the world of words
everyone is the original creator
some play the codes
elegantly
some just express the moods
with words plainly
the world is too big
and not everyone can make the texts look pretty
but words
bring each of us
light and illumination
i like poetry
though i don't
play it well.
You
ChinHooi Ng May 2015
You
Dream of the day,
dream of the night,
are just,
subtleness of neon,
you on the ground,
stars in the sky,
are an,
integrated part of,
a trance.

From A to Z
we need
to learn to return
to zero
when we come to a new place
we need to learn to pack up the past
put it away
start over
like a child
getting to know the world
like a sponge
absorbing water of the ocean
like opening your eyes
after darkness has gone
going back to zero
is the sterilization of the past
the emergence of new
future.
