Where lives are saved and lives are lost,
Transparent waves simmering and smoking,
Islanders shouting 'bon voyage,'
Against the colossal empty carcass of stone.

We were alive, we were one.
Like you said in the sloppy mud,
The surreptitious metal clashing,
Screaming its choiring shout of affirmation.
The deity that strung us by the neck,
Forcing us to choke on our natural *****.

The door has closed.
Let it be heard in a whisper
In the evanescent air.
Like the pairing of two great crashing waves.

I remember that twilight tulip's lip,
The cupid's bow puckered earnestly yet forsaken.

And with our bodies braced
We raise the anchor,
Bearing our scopes far beyond the horizon.
A never ending sail in the wind.

No longer news, to hear men die
For powerful *******'s battle-cry.
Where are the people who ask "why?"
Among the many who simply sigh.

Not at all fair, to beg world's change.
While not accepting our puny range.
We may be people, but we are strange.
To wish to give nothing in exchange.

No right at all in giving ears
To men who've theived us all these years.
Powers and businesses have their cheers
Unminding the abandoned and the queers.

Nonsense, our nature to tolerate lies
Just beautiful to fool ignorant eyes.
How cruel must it be for reality's spies
To expose ugly truth all men despise.

Not theirs to solve, but whoever is next,
To make things right, to check from X.
But youth today, they delve in ***!
(not kidding, not jesting, not even a vex)

Not that we are doomed, this say I
As I watch my world blunder by.
With these mere words, maybe I'd try.
To reach out, maybe. I can't just sigh.

Never will I feel so great,
To live on a planet thriving on hate.
Economies failing, having no rate?
Someday nothing will be on men's plate.

Nothing but war, and negative
Aspects and things on which to live.
What is there to blame? Admistrative,
Judicial branch or Executive?

***** humanity, we'll all lose faith.
Right now I see the future's wraith.
This wound we can no longer swathe,
A filth we can no longer bathe.

No one can move, I change my mind.
Even my own hopes I can't find.
Show to the deaf and yell to the blind!
We are all part of an ill-starred grind.
This poem, I wrote nearing midnight. A start of another day down. Like that's relevant. It's long, I know, but there's still more to say and we all know it. Where is humanity going as a species anyway? I can't be the only one filled with rage and disappointment in the human race, right?

do we ever see the world
in an undiluted state?
i walked through the city streets today
and saw the world double blurred
through the haze of rainwater on my glasses
and the clear bubble of my umbrella

do we ever look at things
and simply see them, without an established frame of reference?
is it even possible to look at something
and see it as it is and not through the telephoto lens of the life you've lived?

does it matter that we look at the world
and can only ever see the things we see?
'is your orange my orange' sounds like a silly absurdity
a quirk of language and the subjectivity of human thought
does it matter there's no way for us to know the answer?

everything we see is filtered through the lens of the lives we've lead
your experiences color your vision like a pair of tinted glasses
my orange will never be your orange
the same way no two things ever truly touch

when you take someone's hand, your skin never really touches on an atomic level
when you look at the city streets blurred with rain you don't see the same thing as the person standing beside you
the important things are not the not-truly-seeing or the not-truly-touching

the important thing is that humans will always try
i will always try to see your orange
i will always try to touch your skin

we're here in this wondrous universe,
located in the spectacular milky way galaxy,
living on this magnificent planet Earth,
and all we do is **** everything up.

all humans can do is either control or destroy.

not many of us are capable of living in harmony with nature surrounding us.

we've become accustomed to these concrete jungles,
living and breathing the factory fumes.

we need to open our eyes and help nature reproduce.

if only everyone realised that we were lucky to be put on Earth,
maybe then we could do something great.

if more people realised that there is so much more out there and in actual fact we don't know anything,
maybe then we'd be able to make peace with what once was and move on.

if only everyone realised
we are just a speck amongst billions of stars.

Listening
To the ever so quite
Transitioning
Of ideas
Slipping into blissful
Ignorance
And the echoing
Of this parasitic
Interdependence
And everything is
Just another wavelength
Stretching its existence
To the edge of outer space

cling to your fear, before it disappears.
you feel it pulling, its always there
it is not always clear, when destiny is near
when you hear it calling will you even care

you can always turn on the path you walk
even if into the trees away from the flock
there's a righteous  path many must walk
in which humanity once took stock

I fear the path I may have to walk soon
for it may lead to my very doom
will I submit to the devil's ruse
knowing this what shall I choose
