I write not
 Apr 2017 Ben M
Pax
I write not because i seek your truth,
i just do - for someone who seeks
understanding in all the doors we see.

I write not because i seek your pity,
i just do - for someone who seeks
understanding in all tough roads we
go through.

I write not because this is a job,
i just do - for someone who seeks
relief to the burden he has not
spoken out loud.

~

Subtly surmised
of this bed sheet warmth,
                darkened skies felt,
       Lost in silent hours
of a dream

         A beauty unbelieved
in flowing nightlace
                             Drinking from the fountain
of every joy I have longed
Aglow where shadows
        once traced

Song birds lift
          of growing branch,
new leaves in velvet green
                      shading marigold sighs
     falling from calla lily skies,
         resting upon my heart

A touch greets
             cumulus milk paint skin,
salted of time,
      weathered in season’s charge
Coated satin emerging,
                               reclaiming its glisten of youth,
            breathing

Whirlwinds gather,
                   swirls of tapestry patterns
float me on
            cut crystal wings a’ shimmer
Soaring into your arms
A’ feel of kite string wisps
          as love takes me
            to you

I found you in a dream

The Horizon

I stand here alone
Across from the horizon
Ocean waves splashing
Seagulls crying out
The wind pushing against me
I fall in sinking

life goes on
forever unchanging
a cycle never broken

people go on
carrying the same
broken, lust filled hearts

always searching for love
in all the wrong places

we break
and we decay
an inevitable process

sad eyes
discreet
among naked bodies
lying in ***** sheets

star-crossed lovers
drunk on wishful
thinking

we age
as we look for a
path that never really exist

we disintegrate
as our bodies
consumed by
desolate figures

our solace
in euphoric
entities

My memories of her have faded
Like a vintage photograph,
She has finally become
A fleeting moment of my past.
I didn't think of her as much today
And tomorrow I'll think of her even less.
But I doubt I'll think less of her
For in the past, as a friend, she was the best.
I don't remember her voice,
I can't recall her laugh,
For she has simply faded
Into a vintage photograph.
She no longer haunts me
She is not my ghost.
Her absence doesn't daunt me
Nor do I think of her the most.
She's simply just a picture
of a moment long ago,
A part of who I was and have become.
At last I am here where I can let her go.

Motorway

Feel like my life is when you're driving on the motorway, everything is grey and the same and there. And you occasionally smile and people in other cars but you can't reach them, and you're meant to be on the way to somewhere but it feels like you'll never reach it.

Nature walk

Down the aisle of
dandelion clocks
we stroll,

Copse's line our quiet
lane and thrushes
flit between them.

All that can be heard
is the soft thrum
of their wings behind the veil
of thistle.

A train of mist
follows the missed
lace daisies latticed into a thousand spiderwebs and

The Grass gloved
in due teary dew
follows us.
In a melancholy mood

Mist drapes itself
Round stoic hills
Whilst hues of delicate bruises
Sugar roses
Watch on, dewy eyed
Frost bitten fields
Kissed by orange streams
Interrupted by knarled hands
Thrown to the air
Ramblings from a long bus journey

Daylight war
 Apr 2017 Ben M
pookie
Midnight long since past,
Dawn approaches,
Sleep evades,
The mist rises,
Midnight long since past,
Dawn approaches,
Sleep lost,
The mist clings.

All for nothing the nightmares are still here even with no sleep, life and death, sleep and no sleep.

Dawn approaches faster than I can grasp,
The sun rises,
The mist dissipates,
My hope lost in the eddies of thy mist,
The day has come,
The night has lost.

Here comes the daylight war.
