Dry bones of Moses painted on my button down shirt screaming,
“to be or not to be” is not an English word.

I dreamt about a land before man where the Oxygen that sprang from the pores of flowers
sang a sweet death. Where dishwashers are saints, for afterall, man will not be if not for food.
Where books are written not to be read, but for the sake of Orange trees that will grow in the future.

What substance was it?
The culmination of diamond-like shards
crushed and, then, melted into a precarious liquid
a liquid that follows the sway of a glass sphere attached to a glass stem
the end of which is rested between my lips
the length of the stem, itself, is clutched and rested between my index finger and my thumb
large clouds of odorless smoke besets the circumference of my bust as I exhale
immediate!
This substance will soon serenade the totality of my biology’s neurology.
Break that pipe now!
Simple glass that can be stepped on
crushed beneath feet!
What substance was that?
A human is free now
emancipated
the new substance of their affection is sobriety!
Author’s note: please, abate or diminish your substance abuse, if you have one. And, despite what I have alluded to within this poem, “sobriety” is never easily obtained, yet, it is very much worth the effort to obtain it.

We can learn to fly wrapped in bedsheets
There are vibrations through every living thing,
That includes the inanimate,
These vibrations are at your control
When you learn to accept the chaos
Underlying consciousness
The ordered structures we perceive are fluid,
Physical boundaries, laws and regulations

Chaos

Circling patterns of eagle flight

Last year my head was empty
but my bin was overflowing.
My hair was grey with stress and fear,
my sanity was going.
I went to see a doctor
who'd learnt neurology.
He took one look at me and cried,
"Why, this is just too easy!
At least give me a challenge
and some research work to do
I can instantly identify
the problem ailing you."
He sat me down upon a chair
(to counteract the shock)
and told me it was just a case
of Common Writer's Block.
Despite my huge sigh of relief,
the fear did still remain.
For what was I to do now my
ideas had all been slain?
The doctor was not fazed by this
and gave me purple potion
and to this day, I've found no cure
that beats pure Inspiration!

I remember to remember,

Leaves me longing for an apology
Some respite for what you did.
The clouds come rolling in,

The wild runs within my skin,
And you're still gone.
I've learned a lot since then,
I've learned how to be me,

Experience distilling my being
