Oh, monster,
Stuck in this concrete jungle,
Having your mind entangled,
Your soul mangled.
What should you do if it all crumbles?
Would you struggle,
Or would you start trouble?

unboard the windows
there is an expensive moment to come
when you finally figure out
the undoable has been done

never fleeting, never free
pay and pay but never repay

hope he was more than your hedberg ******
leading you on to childless and spinster

going going gone
all along you got it so wrong

dystopia ringing your doorbell daily
another package from amazon
****** censorship for all
aren't we all our own black swan

"oooh sadness
i have no more use for you"

sad trumpet of a lifetime
a state of standstill is a state of decline
Ayodeji Oje Apr 2020
Tears rolling for the undue maimings
And undeserved namings
With ceaseless railings?
Stop wailing
It is training
For future reigning
When the darkness outside
Threatens to overtake your mind
Press forward in faith

When times of trouble come
And you can’t see your way out
Press forward in hope

When others call for help
And you have little to give
Press forward in love

When supplies seem scarce
And your trust falters
Press forward in abundance

When the outer world is in chaos
Strengthen your mind’s eye
Your mind is the key to prosperity

Because many in the world are struggling at this time, I'd like to share the message to press forward. Let the words sink into your soul and provide some comfort. Pay attention to the ending of each stanza. We are all in this together.

Press forward by helping those you are able to help. Just a phone call or a text or an "I Love You" are helpful and comforting.

A righteous man cannot stand for adversity
when his daughters weep for the contrary.

A righteous man should not back away from the dragon or it’s flames
and allow his daughters to be swallowed up in war.

A righteous man
knows no good or bad
          no right or wrong.

He knows of responsibility
He knows of compassion
He knows of understanding
He knows of commitment

My father stands before the dragon.

when am weak
who do i call?
my God it hurts
i can’t be calm.
what do i do?
do i run?
i am tired of hate, tired of love
dug my nails into my arms
she turned left to my scars and questioned
“what is my worth”
she turned left and questioned what’s my worth

Stop trying to help people so much
It only gets you in trouble
I guess
thispanman Feb 2020
Don't look at me like that!
All the hate
All the time

Who are you to judge?
My hair
My attitude

What is it to you?
My choices
My life

Where did you come from?
From inside
From outside

When will you see?
I am strong
I am brave

Why do you do this?
The scars
The lies

If only that person
In that disguise
Wasn't me
I went through a time when I hated myself, so this is my poem to the voice that caused that.
