I'm beginning to believe
That happiness is just an illusion.
While in the moment you may smile,
When it fades, it leaves behind confusion.

Tell me, why do we blow bubbles
When they burst in seconds few?
You can't change the color of the sky, my dear.
It will always, always be blue.

And even while you're smiling,
There's this ever-rising flood.
Reminding you of your pain and despair
And that you'll always turn back to blood.

I'm hearing voices in my mind,
Replaying loved ones loving me.
But as I begin to find those thoughts,
They turn their backs and flee.

Why do we struggle at the top of the water?
Wouldn't it be easier to sink?
At least if the water consumes you,
Then you won't be forced to think.

On hieroglyphics and holograms,
Ancient runes in endless sands,
We're journeying in a timeless span,
Travellers in a great Southern land,
A distance past, times long gone,
Through the future we'll wander on,
To the world there is a helping hand,
We all come from migrants in our land,
A multicultural heritage, that's grand,
As Mum used to say, "Are you Irish or mad?"
A river of time floating by,
We're journeying in an endless sky,
Travellers in a timeless span,
Soon, hieroglyphics and holograms.
For a contest. Feedback welcome.

Tired
and bloated.
-filled
to the brim
with *******
that isn't
yours,
or theirs
-nobody's-
but
the patterns
that refuse
to cease.

point blank,
a tweaze,
small enough
for a
particle
you swore
to have seen
but didn't.
unravelling
thread on
pants, that,
at one time,
belonged to you.

pulling up
a shirt,
showing skin,
marked
with beauty
and growth
blue and pale,
shown to
everything,
but
the sun.

naked
in the
dark.

a brief
illumination
of life,
for a second
that is too
short
to be
a second,
leading
to a
momentary
darkness
that is
too long
to be
a moment.

Timeless
fragments
of life
splattered
across the
walls,
floor,
ceiling,
-non-representational-
like the
emotions
they once felt.

I find joy in our silence (because there is no tale to tell)
A story implies a beginning, a middle, an end
So forgive me if I am guarded,
I am afraid to start something (that I want to last forever)
Whisper me love
Sing me the words you cant speak
Lay with me, look to the stars (hold me until forever comes )
Feel this silence (don't try to fill it)
I hope it tickles your skin, reminding you softly of how I need you to stay
two bodies
merged into one
two souls
intertwined
one drop
after the other
I drink
thirsty of your essence ..
the fire raging
the immortal flame ..
heated lava
burns our souls ..
we are aware thieves
of passing emotions
lost and found
.. the timeless hour
not the time
not the distance
not the wind
evanescent reality

Here I am in the darkness again
Realizing it's my only friend

I just want to walk in the sun
Like I did when I was young

But that dream is dead and gone
Just like the last note of a song
It simply fell away
Into the gray

I try to convince myself I will be just fine
Here in the dark where the sun will never shine

Alone in my madness
My terrifying sadness
In time that's so timeless
This deafening silence
That all leads to self violence

Scenery change is a must,
a change in pace,
a change in almost everything;
but you.
You're timeless,
You're the only thing I want to stay constant.

The Cheshire moon smiles down on me tonight.
I’m completely out of synch with this cycle,
once again in the trough of the ever oscillating wavelength of life,
of emotion, of shifting energies, of morphing shadows casted upon by the apathetic celestial bodies who glide along through the heavens with such certainty, such staunch punctuality
as to give hope where there is none,
to know the sun will rise,
to know with certainty, with utmost faith that the moon will fall,
that the biting cold in the still night will turn into golden rays of illumination and warmth in a mere few hours,
a transformation that if somehow seen for the first time, would constitute as a miracle.
Apathetically they trudge along in their formations repeating their cosmic dances into eternity, the hands of the clock, casting shadows which decree time as we know it;
we kneel before the laws set forth, faithful and non believer, criminal and saint, man and women, there is no question of fealty,
for all subscribe to the church of time,
the tracking of shadows,
the calendar of Gregory.
The shadows smile at me tonight, but I don’t smile back.

I could think of so many ways and things to say
and describe your love
It's timeless for one.
every time i see you, it feels like the first time.
Your touch is magnetic, electric, intoxicating.
I'm addicted to your love, and i will NEVER get enough.
You're masculine and boyish;
the perfect contradiction.
I love you; all of you.
Every flaw is flawless.
My perfect baby,
You're timeless.
it's pretty insane to see how far we've come and I couldn't want anymore more than I do you .  All the time.
