Inner Devils

I’m always, on the outside,
But I’m looking in,
Your greatest faults, I’ll abide,
I support and embrace your sin,

I’ll swallow your pain,
I’ll digest what’s inside,
I will rust your chain,
In me you can confide,

I’ll help you shift the blame,
Run from angels who refuse to see,
At your lowest, you’ll be glad I came,
But you’ll never know the real me,

Friending those who only think of self,
Always talk in a riddle,
Waiting on your secret shelf,
Musing you, while your privates you ******,

I smile when you call,
Us, only talking when you fall,
Two in a dance like notes of a fiddle,
Still, at your loneliness I maul,

I’ll smile when I’m used,
My shoulder ******* your tears,
I know when you’re confused,
I know, because I’ve scribed your fears,

I am the one who leers,
Watching your many tragic fates,
Coming when you shun your peers,
Remembering all the dates,

Suffering in total silence,
Guarding your souls flimsy, gate,
Torches and mobs gather and I stand in defiance,
While you sit at home and *******,

Think you see me so crystal clear,
You always call me when it’s late,
I listen, and drown you in a beer,
Fore I’m never one to subjugate,

I taste every tear,
Make you cold to further your career,
Your emotions I stow,
Take every blow,
For,
I am,
The Devil you know...

Every night,
Before I dream,
I wonder what our lives could have been.
money bought him
the young flowers to
defile
money bought him
satisfaction's
smile

yet his money
bought him trouble
aplenty
for his victims were
well below the age of
twenty

his money will need
to buy good legal
representation
as the New York prosecutors
so desire his
incarceration

money never purchased
him an ounce of
respect
on his money he'll be
left to endlessly
reflect

My voice doesn’t reach you.

I hope one day when I collapse,
and spread out a million pieces
of life-burnt-ash,
that then, maybe then,
you’ll stop and
Reflect,
that I finally reached you,
that I finally reached you

After our time came to pass.

I haven’t put thought to paper since then
Because I’d thought that
If I thought anymore, you’d only see
A bitter child who threw his toys out the pram

If I thought anymore, I’d only be writing about
A heart-broken man that wanted love from
The embodiment of a soulmate
And was willing to flirt on the outskirts of deaths embrace
And ignore all rules imposed
For a fairy-tale understanding of destiny

If I thought anymore, I'd have to look within
At the selfish man that should've
Stepped away and moved off the edge ages ago
But has instead, decided to
Dangle his heart off the cliff
And throw it away, into the darkened pit below

Time has past since then
And still I think, though I’m less inclined to share now
Time has healed some things
Birds are spry come morning but
As I’ve said, to the shadows and the sun

Time cannot mend an adamant fool who wishes...

the sun finds the solace
as she meets the sea
so the night begins
still waters reflect the sky
the wind blows
starlight dances delicately
upon the ripples and so shall we
before dawn
she will know peace.
She was the flower
that made the sun want to rise.

We live within a world full of glass.
Where light and sight
are strayed when they pass...

The things we see;
monsters that loom...
Twisted creatures all around me.

Razor shards sting;
gashes with each step.
Screams from the people ring.

through the pieces lives the demons face.
A terrible, ungodly sight.
Yet, it took me to a familiar place.

Just then became plain to see
the closer I came to the shard.
This is a world of mirrors

The creature is me.
Sometimes we have to remember to look and realize that we have demons. It's the best way to keep them at bay.
